TRAILER: Black Fatherhood: Reconnecting With Our Legacy (1702 hits)

FILM TRAILER: Hats off to filmmaker and author Dana Ross for making this film and shedding light on the reality that good, solid, strong, loving fathers do exist in our community. Ross utilized her own family history, research and interviews with hundreds of Black fathers, Educators and Historians such as Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu and Dr. Ira Berlin, to explore Black men in their roles as fathers from their time of enslavement to the present.

This ten year docu-journal, presented in both book and film formats, display very clear facts about the history of Black fatherhood, the many extraneous circumstances Black fathers face, how Black men became disenfranchised; how it affected the Black family structure and solutions to issues fathers face today.

We love the effort to show a positive black men loving and leading their children! #BlackFathersRock!

Hello Saint,

The best father a Black American man that descended from plantation slaves directly and indirectly could be to his son is to instill in his son the desire to be sovereign and free on a reasonable and fertile portion of this continent that he could call his very own country with borders to worship God, pursue life, liberty, happiness and prosperity in our own way.

Anything short of what I have just said the son who is already ignorant will grow up to be a dumb adult as 41 million Black Americans are except me.

Am I making any sense?

Hello Saint,

You said you understand my cry for sovereign independence on a fertile and reasonable portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders. You added that you have no qualms with that.

However, you mentioned that our methodology to achieve sovereign independence is different.

Well Saint, there is only but one way and I mean just one way to achieve the goal of Black Americans sovereign independence. Likewise, there was only one way that the children of Israel could have and did receive their Exodus (sovereign independence) and it all started with God and Moses, am I right.

I am sure that there were hundreds of ignorant Israelites all with different methodologies to achieve freedom from bondage and slavery of Pharaoh. Likewise, Dr. King and Elijah Muhammad and you have different methodology because none of you have sense enough to realize that there is only but on way plus none of you are anointed as Moses and I am.

Anyway, with the coming of Moses you should have the intelligence to discern that there was but only one way out of bondage and slavery for the children of Israel and therefore there is only but on way that Black Americans could achieve sovereignty since our situation is divine as the children of Israel's situation was divine as well. Am I making any sense with you so far?

Again, if you are confused or in doubt that there is only but one way and not several ways then use your intelligence to use the story of Moses as your insight.

You must put down that Black Hebrew Israelite organization that you are in and accept your true religion LIFE and your genuine Prophet Harry. All the Black so-called Muslims and Christians must and will do the say.

Lastly, as I said the only good thing a Black American father could be to his son is to inspire the desire in his son to become sovereign and have the reigns of our destiny in our own hands.

The only one way that this could be done is through our anointed prophet because it is a task that only God could bring about, am I right.

I am the way, and besides me, there is no other way.

What say you?
