
During the heated summer's sun many are plagued with sweating and perspiration. Sweating in the body's natural way to cool down when one is overheated. To learn more about a heat rash it's good to know that heat rashes occurs when sweat ducts become clogged and sweat cannot get through to the surface of the skin. Instead, it becomes trapped beneath the skin's surface causing mild inflammation or a rash. Although this is very common in many people you'll find that others are not affected with heat rashes. It is really uncertain as to why. There are few tips and precautions to aid the heat rash sufferer during hot periods of the summertime.
Creases in skin like underarms, groins or where skin touches and sweating may inhibit sweat evaporation
Tight clothing may prevent sweat evaporation, which incouraging wearing loose light clothing.
Bundling up in heavy sheets, or bedding may cause sweating and poor circulation of air to cool the skin.
Heavy creams and lotions can also clog sweat ducts.
You'll find that often infants suffer from heat rashes because of their sentative skins and sometimes parents over dress them during heated months even in bundling blankets.
As for as treating a heat rash it's recommended frequent washing of the area with cool water and mild soap and possibly applying a 1% cream which can be purchased over the counter without precription. In harder cases one may want to seek a demertologist for rash breakouts.
Heat rash is common, but not impossible to cure. Keep cool and dress lightly wearing lighter colors and avoiding hot periods of the day. Remember heat rashes are never contagious!! You can't catch from someone else...
