There wasn’t a friendly gesture at all as a robber took opportunity to hold up a 9 year old Raleigh, Tennessee boy. Sources stated the boy was outside playing with his scooter when a robber shot the boy in the leg with a BB gun robbed the boy of his play scooter! The boy was a bit taken with fear, but surrendered the toy to man without confrontation. Identity of the robber is not known and the scooter has not been returned. His family matters found this a terrible thing to do. Locals indicated a scene like this one is hasn’t been known to happen before is a rare condition.

Memphis has been taking its toll on the worst lists like never before. First we have been called a city with the worst place to live, then along comes the city with the worst poverty level in the nation, and now another survey poll has listed Memphis with one of worst infrastructure when it comes to bridges. The poll was conducted by a private survey company which said that Memphis’s bridges are in severe need of repairs. In survey at least 100 area bridges were viewed with deficiencies. At least 27 bridges were reported as hazardous. Memphis has been working on repairing its bridges, with good times, however most of its proceeds is received from state funding which has been slow in awarding grants. Presently, the Memphis/Arkansas Bridge is undergoing a major update in repairing.

Collierville, TN
A two-million dollars lawsuit has been filed against the small city of Collierville, Tennessee by the wife of the late basketball star prince Lorenzen Wright. Wright was murdered in July 2010. The suit is being filed by the star’s wife as she is claiming negligence by the local police department in Collierville not responding to a 911 call placed by the star on the day of his murder. In addition, another law suit for compensation is placed for the children of Wright in the amount of 1 million dollars. No date has been set for trials. However, Collierville law officials defend they did all they could in handling the case, but the body of Wright was not found until Memphis Police intervened. Collierville police also claims that Mrs. Wright withheld information of Bellaire importance in regarding drugs in her husband’s possession. Information regarding Wright’s death remains a mystery, , nor has anyone came forth with clues in his murder.

Memphis has been sighted to launch a brand new website costing taxpayers up to 250,000 dollars. The present City of Memphis website has been dubbed as way behind the times and not as assisting visitors to vital information about Memphis. This has caused many to grumble since many city employees are taking a pay cut or even lay offs to save on city funds. However, with all the benjamins and the jeffersons the website is due to be completed in May of 2012 regardless of the grunts. The last city’s website over hall was held in 2007”… is not meeting it’s goal as user friendly.” said one of Memphis website spokespersons.
