Slavery, as an institution still exist in the world today. It exists on the physical level, example: involuntary servitude, s*xual slavery and other forms.
Debt is also a form of slavery. There is a saying. "The debtor is a slave to the lender". You can also be a million dollar or servant or slave. Especially if you are working against your will and can't get out of the situation. It's not exactly like having chains on you but you get my point.
Human beings were created with a nature to be servants or slaves to their creator. If they give themselves to other that said Creator, then that is there master, in my humble estimation. Slavery is a good lesson to learn from. Have we learned our lessons, yet? Are we slaves to other than our Creator?
