England and Wales
Death of cold winters in England and Wales are about the same as 2010 according to recent statistics date from The Office of National Statistics. Data collected from the previous year were compared as 200 deaths a day including England and Wales. A spokesperson said that "The UK think of themselves as a civilsed society which protects the most vunerable but the number of older people who do not survive the winter here is far higher than most European countries where the weather is far colder.? The public health Prime Minister, Anne Milton expressed that despite of the winter deaths in December 2010 deaths in winter have remained unchanged, but there is no need for complacency. They are working on preparing to save lives and improve conditions for their senior population to survive the colder days of winter and cold days of death. In aiding a solution, new arrangements will issue alerts on severe winter weather warnings which will ask local agencies to cary out duties to assist and care for the most vunerable. Four alerts by the government is said to be put in place for assistants to bring down the death toll.
