She's a beauty inspired by a deeply heartfelt family goal...
Moments were tense as every section of the Miss America Pagent elimated down to a final three. Before tense drama unfolded in swim competitions and also very emotional questionings. The thought of one of the runner ups would be, if I win, but there is only winner and the name was called out ..."The new Miss America Miss Wisconsin, Laura Kaeppeler." Kaeppeler who also dedicates her inspiration and win to her father who served a previous term of 18 months in jail for mail fraud. This she says was her promotion to give her best. Kaeppleler wants to bring to more attention how many children live everyday with incarcerated fathers and; or mothers. She has focused on sharing how a negative situation can be changed by her faith and trusting in God. This was her deepest campaign which kept her lifted in spirit. Her goal indeed is driven to give other children whose parents are in jail and are coping with such a real issue to remain hopeful and to keep positive. In addition, Miss America plans to devote her time speaking across the country and supporting her favorite charity The Children's Miracle Network. Her plans also include to pursue a degree in law.
Runners up...2nd place Miss Oklahoma Betty Thompson & 3rd place Miss New York Kaitlyn Monte.
