An Irish group of peacemakers are giving Haitian's gangs a message to have peace among each other. The Glencree Centre of Peace and Recolition urges gang members to live together in the hard hit areas of Haiti where gangs often form hate and violence. The peacemakers group said that they use methods which deter violence and of course promote peaceful actions in poor areas where earthquake damages are still prevelant. Gangs members join at very early ages in mostly poverty stricked areas. Peacemakers said they use a method of Northern Ireland peace process to discourage gangs usage of guns and initiations of young members to learning to use peace and methods where communites can live together without all the violence. The Annual Haiti Week begins on January 23, 2012 and as part of it's association for peace they have effort to discourage gangs from hate to peaceful methods of co-habitation with each other. The peace makers are looking to open up dialogue and communcation of peace.
"For a peace process to work you don't have to trust each other you just have to trust the process."
