A Positive Image of Marriage and Family
Coming soon to a television near you: a documentary on the life of late rap artist Heavy D. Centric TV will be airing the one-hour original special this Sunday titled “Be Inspired: The Life of Heavy D”, which will chronicle his life and his career. The documentary will feature past interviews and performances, as well as reflections from his family, and celebrities who knew him best, including Will Smith, Mary J. Blige, Anthony Hamilton, Kim Fields and Queen Latifah. We will also see footage from his emotional homegoing.
Heavy D, born Dwight Myers, passed away this past November from a blood clot in his lung at the young age of 44. This was after a life as more than an influential pioneer of the hip hop genre. His resume included producing, acting, and a record label executive. A popular Twitter user, Heavy D’s last tweet, “BE INSPIRED!” was a testament to the type of positive force he was. Tune in to remember the life of the “Overweight Lover” on February 26 at 11P/10C.
