I have something to say because somebody attacked my friend and that , IS A NO NO.
There seems to be a problem for members to express unpopular opinions on this site. There were two blogs that discussed a religous group that seemed to tick everybody off. There was nothing but truth spoken in both of them. One of the blogs which mentioned Brigham Young was only a statement about Mitt Romney. MOST intelligent people know that you can't blame everybody for what one person does. The statement was to highlight the fact that Mitt can be indecisive under pressure. Now As far as the blog about the LDS Church and their effort to rise above anything from the pass, it is advisible to do some research before making acquisitions about a group that you probably do not know any one of them personally.
Yes, They are nice people and for the most part, they do not separate their reigion from their daily life. They are not Sunday Christians but daily christians. Their religion is a part of their daily living. It was stated that THE CHURCH IS WORKING HARD TO ERACE THE RACIST LEGACY OF THE PAST. THEY SAID NO CHRISTIAN IN THEIR CHURCH COULD BE RACIST.
The things said in the first blog was mearly an observation and not an indictment. And I did not lie. For those who took exception to what was said, That is the reason this residue of the past, all of it has not gone away in 2012. And until All Americans face the elephant in the room, nothing will change. It has been swept under the rug too long. And Black people are not the ones who have not gotten over it. They have gone around it over it, under it, beside it and any other way possible to exist in this Racist society. Yes, I said racist. You know the old saying, You throw a rock in a group of dogs, the one who gets hit is the one who yells. There is two sides to the rasist coin.
I guess I need to say this too since some people want to put words in my mouth. I stand by all that I have said and I firmly believe that all people on this site have a right to their own opinion. You know what they say about an opinion--- besides that, your opinion of me is NONE OF MY BUSINESS.
As long as we don't take charge of our own lives and learn to work within the confines and laws of OUR Country, we will have problems. I will be the first to say that all is not fair but who said it was going to be? After all of this time, even after Reconstruction, we should have known that we need to take charge of our own lives. Why would your enemy help you? I don't help my enemy. Look at the record for your self, Those who have succeed did so inspite of...IN SPITE OF... So, what does that tell you? Take care of yourself. It works.
If this isn't good enough, we can meet in a parking lot...
