Muslim youth sheds light on misunderstood sect (1578 hits)

Nation of Islam has come a long way since it was founded
As a 16-year old girl who has been a part of the Nation of Islam (NOI) for about eight years, I’ve seen what a true family really looks like. My immediate family and I don’t live close to the rest of my biological family; they live all the way up north. So, coming to the mosque is comparable to visiting a huge house filled with all of your loved ones. Those are the people you rely on. They’re the ones that you may get angry at for a couple minutes, then look right back at them with a smile because they love to see it.

I believe that the Nation of Islam can provide this for everyone because we’re not about hatred, but we’re just the opposite. We’re for justice, love and peace.

A nation hidden by myths

There are many misconceptions about the Nation. But the truth is that the Nation of Islam is a nation striving to be in accordance with God’s will. We want unity with Christians all over the world, Muslims, Jews so humanity can be lifted out of it’s current wretched condition. Some people just know us as the Farrakhan-following, bow tie-wearing, bean pie-eating and Final Call selling people who roam America. But is that all you know?

The Nation of Islam has provided for so many people the pathway that they were looking for – you can head over to one of Muhammad’s Mosques and hear a testimony for yourself!

It’s important to me that you know this because all the Nation (including myself) wants is to see all of humanity -regardless of their color – free. We want people to be free physically and mentally. Aren’t you tired of seeing multiple police cars in our communities? Aren’t you tired of riding by Liberty City and seeing a man walking with a blunt in his hand or a woman walking around half naked. Let’s do something about it then.

With all of that being said, I am formally inviting everyone to Muhammad’s Mosque at 5600 NW 7th Avenue in Miami. Someone is waiting to receive you, I guarantee it.

We are not Arabian people. We are Black Americans, descendants of plantation slaves and Arabian people are not descendants of plantation slaves. By us having and embracing for dear life what belong to the Arabians we are sending the message to the world of intelligent people that we are a race of stupid people because we want what the Arabians have and we don't have the intelligent enough to know that another people's religion cannot be shared with another people because of the racial different.

You said that the person in the picture is a female and that she is American. You did not say, but we also know from her picture that she is Black American and a descendant of slaves, am I right. Most importantly you say that you knowthat she is not an Arab woman.

What you have said is obsolutely true, but it is still not strong enough to move you because you go on to apply the Arabian way of life to this Black American female when she and Black Americans have our own way, prophet and religion.

Robert, why are you badmouthing the sister like that? See it's responses like yours that makes it clear that you don't take the time to actually listen to what's being presented to you, nor do you fully comprehend the message the sister is trying to convey, which is why you are always getting the...stuffing slapped out of you in a religious argument!!!

You are quick as hell to criticize our beautiful sister for following someone (speaking of Min. Farrakhan) that you refer to as pagan.

Let me tell you old provocaters and yo-yos something....I don't give a damn about all your Donald Duck foolishness that you are accusing Minister Farrakhan and the NOI (of today) of doing. Our concern should NOT be about that in this day and time!!!

Our main concern should be in how this lovely sister applies the teachings to her life for the betterment of herself, her family and her community...THAT'S IT!!!

No matter what you all say about the Minister, you can't remove the fact of the significant impact he has on our youth. No matter what accusation you choose to believe on him, guess what, you can not erase the factual information that he contributes to the awakening of the people. So if I were you, I would stop wallowing in personal B.S. and take heed to the positive factual information that the sister is sharing with us.

Hello to All,

Let me show you how decieved this young woman is because of Mr. Farrakhan. She say all that the NOI wants is to see humanity free.

That is a stupid and fruitless desire because GOD deals with humanity and prophets deal with their own race. This ignorant co-called muslim woman should be concern about herself and her Black American people becoming sovereign free having a country of our own.

Mr. Farrakhan neither avocate nor promote our sovereignity because he know that neither Elijah nor Farrakhan are the one.

If Elijah was the one we would have been in our own country already, right. In other words, Elijah would have made good on his teachings before he died, right. But, to be honest with you, Elijah never said that he was the one to deliever us into our country. All that Elijah said is what the slave-masters should give us, am I right.

I am the only ONE saying that these things are going to happen for us in my life-time.

Let me show you how stupid and none thinking you are. You say that our children are our future. No, Robert our future is our sovereignity and our children. Likewise, the future of our children is also sovereignity.

If each new generation of Black Americans continuines to think so stupidly then it is easy to see why Black Americans has always been on the bottom. We need a change of thinking.
Look, my generation was the future of my father's generation and neither my father's generation nor my ganaration got anywhere. Black Americans are still a subjugated people. So, obviously our future are not our children. Our future has be something that would help our children as well as our generation and could have helped our grand-parents's generation. Sovereignity is that only something that I am talking about and you all know that I am right.

If my parents were sovereign then my generation would not have a problem about who our prophet is, what our religion is, racism, discrimination, health-care issuses, employment and educational isuses.
So, again our future is our sovereignity. Logically, since sovereignity will be new to us then obviously everything else will be new like our first genuine prophet and religion will be new, right.
