FROM MRS,,,J
As Afrakan women we have always relied upon one another for upliftment, support, our image and reflection. We find the vision of ourselves in our sisters, our mothers, our grandmothers, our aunts, and our children.
Trust is an essential ingredient in all relationships. With womenfolk-our sisters-the love and caring takes on a special quality. When one has a sister friend one can share one’s innermost thoughts and feelings with trust. A sister will listen to what you say, and tell you what you need to hear.
You will want for your sister what you want for yourself. She will readily give to you what she would have for herself. Therefore, there is no need for mirrors between sisters. You will see yourself in her eyes as she does in yours. The image is of beauty, caring and noble composure.
As the bearers and nurturers of the race/nation Afrakan women must ascend to our rightful place – a place where and when there is no longer a need for mirrors between us. —
