Indeed, there were people who existed before Adam...in the book of Genesis (if we take it literally) there was a 6 day creation!
Please note: in Genesis 1:28 that God gave man dominion over the fish of the sea and the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. These people were hunters and fisherman.
Genesis 1:28, the sixth day creation of man were hunters and fisherman, this would most likely force many of them to be nomadic, to track game animals.
In Genesis 2:5 it is stated "there was not a man to till the ground." God had not created a man to be a farmer as of yet. At this time, in Genesis 2:7, God formed man (Adam) of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. Thus creating the first farmer!
Adam who lived about 6000 years ago is popularly believed to be the first man created by god upon the earth. This view is, however, not corroborated by a close study of the relevant facts. The truth is that the world has passed thru different cycles of creation and civilization and Adam the progenitor of the present human race is only the first link in the present cycle and not the very first man in gods creation. Nations have risen and fallen, civilization have appeared and disappeared. Other Adams may have lived gone before our Adam; other cycles of civilization appeared and disappeared.
It is not claimed that the race which lived before Adam was entirely swept away before he was born. Most probably there had remained a small degenerated remnant of the old race and Adam was one of them. God then selected him to be the progenitor of new race and precursor of new civilization. Created, as it were out of the dead he represented the dawn of a new era of life.
I hope that you will not misunderstand me and think that I do not believe in the Bible and the Quran. I extract principles from both books but I do not follow the Bible in holding that the world began with the birth of Adam 6000 or 7000 years ago and that before this was nothing and god was as it were idle and without work. Neither do we claim that all mankind who are now found in different parts of the earth are the progeny of the self same Adam. On the contrary we hold that this Adam was not the first man. Mankind existed even before him, as is hinted in the Book of Genesis.

Hello to All,
Of course, there were people that existed before Adam. I told you all that Adam and Eve were a factious Jewish couple coming from Moses to the Children of Israel. The mistake that you all have been making is thinking that Adam and Eve were the first man and woman God created. Even Mr. D.Wesbter thought the same way.

Here's my answers to the above 2 questions:
1. If you accept there were humans before Adam & Eve what was their spiritual and material state at that time?????????????????????
The NOI teaches there are multiple "Adams". First there is "Adam", the Original people (Black race) who were masters of the universe. Then there is the "Adam" whom The Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches represents the white race. In fact, The Honorable Elijah Muhammad interpreted "Adam" both ways if you are on your lessons at even the rudimentary level.
If you read Genesis 1:26-28, 1:31 states that God said let us make man in our image, after our likeness. This means he created the first man in his own image, and the first man he created was Black.
Then in Genesis 1:31 And God saw everything that he made and behold it was very good.
So if we accept there were humans before Adam & Eve their spiritual and material state at that time was good. Meaning everything that God made at this time was very good otherwise God would not have been able to say it was good if he had not made man in his own image.
Also in Genesis 2:1:God states Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. It is clearly stated that the heavens and the earth were finished and all the host of them. (People)
Now look at Genesis 2:5, 2:7-8, 2:15. Now this is where God created Adam in the Garden Of Eden.
2. What was the purpose of the Garden of Eden?????????
The purpose of the Garden Of Eden (paradise) is to raise the black people into the knowledge of his ture self and their nature. It is the first Garden where in God produced himself out of which is the Garden of Eden to us it is refered as the Garden of ASIA.
According to the Bible (Gen. 3:20-24), Adam and his wife were the first parents of all people (white race only) and the first sinners. According to the Word of Allah, he was driven from the Garden of Paradise into the hills and caves of West Asia, or as they now call it, "Europe," to live his evil life in the West and not in the Holy Land of the East. "Therefore, the Lord God sent him (Adam) forth from the Garden of Eden, to till the ground from when he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the Garden of Eden cherubims (Muslim guards) and a flaming sword which turned every way to keep the devils out of the way of the tree of life (the nation of Islam)."
The sword of Islam prevented the Adamic race from crossing the border of Europe and Asia to make trouble among the Muslims for 2,000 years after they were driven out of the Holy Land and away from the people, for their mischief-making, lying and disturbing the peace of the righteous nation of Islam.
The Holy Qur'an says: "But the devil made them both fall from it, and caused them to depart from that (state) in which they were; and we said: Get forth, some of you being the enemies of others, and there is for you in the earth an abode and a provision for a time!" (The time here refers to the limited time of the Adamic race. The time is 6,000 years.) According to the above verse (2:36), they were driven out because they were the enemies of the people of the Garden, in these words: "Get forth some of you being the enemies of others." The others cannot refer to any others than the people of the Garden (the Muslims).
The Adamic race is still the enemy of the Muslims (the black man). Nevertheless, Allah did not deprive the Adamic race right guidance through His prophets, whom they persecuted and killed. The Adamic white race's history is proof that they are the enemies of God and the righteous, for they never did sincerely accept a prophet of God. Can they now claim to be the chosen race of God? Why would God limit their time of rule? Why did God send His prophets to warn them that He was going to destroy them? Holy Qur'an (7:14): "He said (the devil) respite me until the day when they are raised up."
Those that are referred to as being "raised up" refer to the resurrection of the black man into the knowledge of the white race as being the devils, the enemies of Allah (God) and the black nation. "He as (the devil) said: "Thou hast caused me to remain disappointed, I will certainly lie in wait for them in Thy straight path" (Holy Qur'an 7:166). What Allah disappointed the devils in was the limiting of their rule over the nations and making it manifest to the world of black man that they are the enemies and great deceivers of the righteous.

Robert, even White theologians, Hebrews and others know that the Adam & Eve story is referring to the White race.
You claim to know more about the teachings of Elijah Muhammad than I do, but if you really study the teachings of Elijah Muhammad, this is where your misunderstanding comes in. Why? Because Elijah taught that Adam and Eve was the first White people.
He taught they were not Black. Did you know that?
Who Are Adam and Eve? They are the White race who caused a discord in the Garden of Eden and were cast out! Where Did They Go? Europe!
And did you know Elijah taught that 5 Names given to the Descendants of Adam and Eve were Lucifer, Satan, Devil, Dragon and Beast? Obviously you did not.
You just looking for any bandwagon to jump upon against me instead of doing the research for yourself (LOL). What you need to do is STOP picking a war with me that you're not prepared for, STOP being a jackass, SHUT the hell up, and READ.

@Jake, knowing me...I say their spiritual and material state was to learn by trial and error how to find food, shelter and water....the first thing a human can live off is milk not raw or cooked meats, ect. So some form of communication...
Religions,(faith as in trust as well as social order) I see as a way to explain the unexplainable and create order out of disorder... but this is me, speaking only for me. (smile)
