If you're not happy with your abs due to the presence of a 'paunch', 'gut' or 'flab' here is something you should know:
Your abdominal muscles are NOT the issue. There are 2 types of fat tissue: visceral (located behind abdominal muscles) and subcutaneous (located in front of abdominal muscles). Visceral fat is linked to what (and how much) you eat while subcutaneous fat is linked to physical activity, or lack thereof. An excess of visceral fat causes the abdominal muscles to protrude while an excess of subcutaneous fat gives the appearance of unsightly folds of loose skin around the abdominal region. To improve the appearance of your abs you must lose the fat tissue by coupling cardio with healthy eating so that those phenomenal abdominal muscles are no longer sandwiched between fat stores.
