Hello to all,
I’ll nail down a few facts about the Bible, okay. Firstly, the Bible is about the modern day Jewish people. The Jewish people wrote the Bible. The Bible is the testimony of the Jewish to the world how God helped them in their times of trouble with other people and how God personally helped them. The Jews are not Egyptian people and therefore the Egyptian Book of the Dead has nothing to do with the Jewish people.
For instance, the book of Exodus tells of the trouble the Jews were having with Pharaoh and how God came and helped them. The book of 1 King tells about the trouble the Jews where having with the Philistine people and how David slew the giant Goliath. God helped them in a personal way when God instructed them to observe the Passover, and how to build the Ark of the Covenant.
In other words, the events in the Bible are the things that actually happened to the Jewish people in that time in history.
I have given you all enough information that shows the Bible is not a copy of the Egyptian Book of the Dead as the dumb Dr. John G. Jackson and any idiot coming behind this Dr. would believe.
Likewise, the Quran is the testimony of the Arabian people to world how God came only to them and helped them out of pagan worship.
Since, Black Americans now have a genuine prophet, which means that God is in our midst when we begin to write our Book it will be about how God came and helped us out of out suppression and subjugation in White America and into our sovereign country.
Consequentially, religious books are the personal property of that people who wrote it
Our present problem is that we are unable to think and reason analytically.

David,
Since, you say the Bible is about Blacks then prove it! First state the kind of Blacks the Bible is abut then go on and prove what you are saying is true.
The Blacks that I am concern about and have power over are Black Americans who are direct and indirect descendents of plantation slaves.
I know that I am not in the Bible because I am a Black American prophet and the prophets in the Bible are all Jews. And, that is analytically thinking.
So prove what you are saying is true!

1. "I’ll nail down a few facts about the Bible, okay. Firstly, the Bible is about the modern day Jewish people." Harry Watley
Harry that is a factually incorrect statement. So-called 'modern day Jewish people' are not the subject matter of the Biblical text. Modern day Jewry came to Biblical affiliation in relatively recent times after the crusades of Europe and the decline of Moorish Spain, so we're talking between the 10th and 12th centuries CE.

The fact that people are what I call 'stupid by choice' is made quite clear in the fact that with all of the verifiable historical references I left on David's post 3 years ago, we still encounter people who participated in that dialogue who have made it quite clear that their collective IQ is far too low for new and accurate information to even permeate the barriers of ignorance inherent in their 'a-historical' worldviews; I can only sum that up to being... 'stupid by choice'. Hey' it's your choice, no one has the right to disarm you of that choice. You say something on this post without documenting it... consider it automatically d.e.l.e.t.e.d.. I've no interest in your ''opinions' as I have offered none of my own. Ms. Govenor,
The ignorant Prof. Dr. John G. Jackson that you supports claims that the Bible stories were taken out of the Egyptian’s Book of the Dead and I am disputing that and at the same time emphasizing how ignorant and stupid both of you are when you know that the stories in the Bible are the stories that the modern day Jewish’s people ancestors lived and they wrote about it in the Torah and made a part of the Christian Bible.
Show me the PassOver ritual that the modern day Jewish people still celebrates that was passed down to them from their ancient Hebrew ancestors in the Egyptian’s Book of the Dead.
Show me where David slew the giant Goliath in the Egyptian’s Book of the Dead.
So, you are implying that Moses never existed am I right. You all are ignorant and it is understandably so because we are descendents of plantation slaves and slave is not intelligent people, but God have since come for us and I am Black America’s first genuine prophet and we are not going to be ignorant any longer.
Anyway, show me the two things in the Egyptian’s Book of the Dead I asked.
If you are going to talk about something else I am not responding.

"Unless you prove that Black Americans are in the Bible since you say the Bible is about Blacks I am not responding to anything else. I want to travel in a straight line and not all over the place." Harry Watley
Harry the Bible is not about any historical black people who lived in Egypt, Palestine or otherwise. It is a book of folklore, allegory, metaphor outfitted with an historical a.p.p.e.a.r.a.n.c.e.. The best example I can give you right now is, to think about the Broadway musical 'Hair' from the 1970's; it's mostly about the early 1970's protest of Viet Nam War. Now Harry pay close attention: just because the musical 'Hair' was centered around a historical war does not mean that the story itself was.... historical. Before you respond, think about the analogy I just illustrated for you, because I can do it again and again and again as such is the nature of.... media.

Harry... 'disputation' and 'refutation' are not synonyms. Disputing something is akin to 'farting out of your face', neat trick, but doesn't do anything but stink up the room, ie, makes nothing any more or less 'true'. You wanna do something that carries some weight? Then REFUTE the esteemed Dr. Jackson, because 'disputation' is no indication or reflection of correct information. By the way, can someone please give the correct appellation by which C-thru Hebroo Jake is now referring to himself as. So Christine are there any chapters in the Bible Authentic; like book of Psalms?
I can agree with you on some parts of the bible being Allegory. Book of Genesis starts out.
Oh and my last question, the 1611 Geneva Bible .... I thought it was considered the Orginal after the Tynsdale Bible?
And Harry, as far as the story of David and Goliath being plagiarized from the Book of the Dead is concerned; it doesn't have to be to prove any point thus far made. What has been maintained in fact is that the Greeks wrote the first Bible (not the Hebrews as is falsely and incorrectly taught), and if the Greeks wrote the very first Bible then not only did they plagiarize ancient Egyptian texts in doing so but they also plagiarized Greek texts in the process such as a presumed 'Homer's Illiad & the Odessy'. So all we have to do is find out from which culture they plagiarized the story of David and Goliath:
No parts of the Bible are 'authentic' Cynthia even if only by virtue of the nature of it's plagiarism. You can't c.o.p.y. something from someone else, claim it as your own and then have it pronounced... 'a.u.t.h.e.n.t.i.c.'; the very idea is a contradiction in terms.

The Tyndale Bible generally refers to the body of biblical translations by William Tyndale. Tyndale’s Bible is credited with being the first English translation to work directly from Hebrew and Greek texts. Furthermore it was the first English biblical translation that was mass produced as a result of new advances in the art of printing. The term Tyndale's Bible is not strictly correct, because Tyndale never published a complete Bible. Prior to his execution Tyndale had only finished translating the entire New Testament and roughly half of the Old Testament.[1] Of the latter, the Pentateuch, Jonah and a revised version of the book of Genesis were published during his lifetime. His other Old Testament works were first used in the creation of the Matthew Bible and also heavily influenced every major English translation of the Bible that followed.[

You all are not talking with sense because you all don’t have an analytical mind. It is obvious that you all can not prove your platform, but I can. The Bible was written by no other people than the ancestors’ of the modern day Jewish people in the State of Israel.
I know that I am right because the PassOver ritual that Moses instituted 4000 years ago in the Book of Exodus is still being practiced today the same way it was instituted by Moses.
My proof that the Bible is not a copy of the Egyptian’s Book of the Dead is the PassOver ritual. The Egyptian never practiced the PassOver ritual. The PassOver ritual solely belongs to the Jewish people and they got it from God.
Our religion LIFE was given to us by God through me and our ritual celebration is called RESURRECTION. The Jews have the PassOver. The Christians have Christmas. The Arabians have Ramadan and Black Americans have Resurrection.
I know you can’t show and prove the Bible is not original. You all are stupid and saying stupid things.
Here's the whole article just for your own enjoyment Harold... say good bye to your Passover Fairy Tale: whose next?
"Here's a question for you: what do actor Charlton Heston, DreamWorks animation studios and Former Prime Minister Menachem Begin all have in common? Well, they've all, at one time or another, perpetuated the myth that the Jews built the pyramids. And it is a myth, make no mistake. Even if we take the earliest possible date for Jewish slavery that the Bible suggests, the Jews were enslaved in Egypt a good three hundred years after the 1750 B.C. completion date of the pyramids. That is, of course, if they were ever slaves in Egypt at all.
We are so quick to point out the obvious lies about Jews and Israel that come out in Egypt – the Sinai Governors claims that the Mossad released a shark into the Red Sea to kill Egyptians, or, as I once read in a newspaper whilst on holiday in Cairo, the tale of the magnetic belt buckles that Jews were selling cheap in Egypt that would sterilize men on contact – yet we so rarely examine our own misconceptions about the nature of our history with the Egyptian nation.
We tend, in the midst of our disdain for Egyptian, anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, to overlook the fact that one of the biggest events of the Jewish calendar is predicated upon reminding the next generation every year of how the Egyptians were our cruel slave-masters, in a bondage that likely never happened. Is this really so different from Jaws the Mossad agent?
The reality is that there is no evidence whatsoever that the Jews were ever enslaved in Egypt. Yes, there's the story contained within the bible itself, but that's not a remotely historically admissible source. I'm talking about real proof; archeological evidence, state records and primary sources. Of these, nothing exists.
It is hard to believe that 600,000 families (which would mean about two million people) crossed the entire Sinai without leaving one shard of pottery (the archeologist's best friend) with Hebrew writing on it. It is remarkable that Egyptian records make no mention of the sudden migration of what would have been nearly a quarter of their population, nor has any evidence been found for any of the expected effects of such an exodus; such as economic downturn or labor shortages. Furthermore, there is no evidence in Israel that shows a sudden influx of people from another culture at that time. No rapid departure from traditional pottery has been seen, no record or story of a surge in population.
In fact, there's absolutely no more evidence to suggest that the story is true than there is in support of any of the Arab world's conspiracy theories and tall tales about Jews.
So, as we come to Passover 2012 when, thanks to the “Arab Spring,” our relations with Egypt are at a nearly 40 year low, let us enjoy our Seder and read the story by all means, but also remind those at the table who may forget that it is just a metaphor, and that there is no ancient animosity between Israelites and Egyptians. Because, if we want to re-establish that elusive peace with Egypt that so many worked so hard to build, we're all going to have to let go of our prejudices."
Josh Mintz is completing his degree in International Relations and Middle Eastern studies and is the communications director at Friend a Soldier, an NGO that encourages dialogue with IDF soldiers.
*By the way Harold... the author of the article Josh Mintz is an ISRAELI JEW who has more than just a HS diploma and two years at a local community college (just sayin'). Nothing wrong with community colleges though, great places to start out. Just putting things in context for ya.

Here you have the Jewish newspaper the Hareetz AGAIN... articulating the Jewish professors observations:
"...the "m.y.t.h." of a Jewish people as a group with a common, ethnic origin has been summarized as follows: "[a]t a certain stage in the 19th century intellectuals of Jewish origin in Germany, influenced by the folk character of German nationalism, took upon themselves the task of inventing a people "retrospectively," out of a thirst to create a modern Jewish people. From historian Heinrich Graetz on, Jewish historians began to draw the history of Judaism as the history of a nation that had been a kingdom, became a wandering people and ultimately turned around and went back to its birthplace."

Hello Ms. Governor,
What I know is that last year the Jewish people in the State of Israel celebrated the PassOver just like it happened 4000 years ago and this year they will do the same. I know that they are able to do so because it was passed down to them from Moses’ generation.
The truth of the PassOver is greater than a news paper. I know that I am right because of the PassOver if nothing else.
The PassOver justifies that Moses was real.
I am Black America’s first genuine prophet and everything I say is going to happen for Black Americans. We are not Egyptian people! We are a new race of people!
You need to get yourself on the right rack. You are not an Arab man yet you suck-up the Arabian people’s Prophet Mohammed, the Islamic religion, you have embraced the Quran, which is about the Arabian people only and you want me to believe that you have scholarship. You are a damn fool. Mohammed came to his own people who are the Arabian people, stupid.
Talk is cheap! Prove that I am a sick puppy, idiot.

Research: Dr. Baldwin's primary research interests are in the areas of African-American Psychology, Black personality and mental health (African self-consciousness) and the psychological outcomes of racial-cultural oppression of Blacks in American society (Cultural Misorientation and Worldviews assessment). He has developed the ASCS (African Self-Consciousness Scale), The Worldviews Scale (WVS) and the CMS (Cultural Misorientation Scale) to measure these personality and mental health dispositions and social perceptions related to the Black experience. His research focuses on relating these measures to other African-centered psychological and behavioral assessment measures, as well as toward explaining a variety of contemporary mental health problems prevalent among African-Americans. He is currently conducting research seeking to identify background, psychological and situational factors which predict ASCS, WVS and CMS scores, as well as behavioral factors that are predicted by such scores, both adaptive and maladaptive behaviors, such as self-esteem, stress coping, “N-word” usage and skin color prejudices and discriminatory behaviors, with the goal of developing ASCS and CMS based psychological/mental health profiles of African-Americans in these areas of functioning.
We don’t need research. We need to become a sovereign people in a country of our own. We need not less than what God did for the Children of Israel and that is going to happen in my life time with or with most of you all.

Hi Christine, great to have you back!
My studies (continued as a result of our discourse on David's blog) have led me to the conclusion that the Septuagint predates the Hebrew text and that the 9th-10th century Hebrew text is a translation of the Greek and not the other way around.. The extant Greek is centuries earlier than the oldest Hebrew text. There is also the fact that most of the quotes in the NT don't match the Hebrew OT, they match the Septuagint. For example:
Romans 15:12 New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) 12 and again Isaiah says,
“The root of Jesse shall come, the one who rises to rule the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles shall hope.”
Isaiah 11:10 New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) Return of the Remnant of Israel and Judah
10 On that day the root of Jesse shall stand as a signal to the peoples; the nations shall inquire of him, and his dwelling shall be glorious.
But the NETS (New English Translation of the Septuagint) has:
10 And there shall be on that day the root of Iessai, even the one who stands up to rule nations; nations shall hope in him, and his rest shall be honor.
The Septuagint was not a translation. It was a compilation drawn from the many sources at the Library of Alexandria. We don't know what all those sources are of course, because they were destroyed.
Book Description Publication Date: May 15, 2006 | Series: Library Hebrew Bible/Old Testament Studies (Book 433)
Berossus and Genesis, Manetho and Exodus proposes a provocative new theory regarding the date and circumstances of the composition of the Pentateuch. Gmirkin argues that the Hebrew Pentateuch was composed in its entirety about 273-272 BCE by Jewish scholars at Alexandria that later traditions credited with the Septuagint translation of the Pentateuch into Greek. The primary evidence is literary dependence of Gen. 1-11 on Berossus' Babyloniaca (278 BCE) and of the Exodus story on Manetho's Aegyptiaca (c. 285-280 BCE), and the geo-political data contained in the Table of Nations. A number of indications point to a provenance of Alexandria, Egypt for at least some portions of the Pentateuch. That the Pentateuch, drawing on literary sources found at the Great Library of Alexandria, was composed at almost the same date as the Septuagint translation, provides compelling evidence for some level of communication and collaboration between the authors of the Pentateuch and the Septuagint scholars at Alexandria's Museum. The late date of the Pentateuch, as demonstrated by literary dependence on Berossus and Manetho, has two important consequences: the definitive overthrow of the chronological framework of the Documentary Hypothesis, and a late, 3rd century BCE date for major portions of the Hebrew Bible which show literary dependence on the Pentateuch.
Now that still leaves the question, what were the sources Berossus and Manetho used, and in general the Greek dependence on Egyptian sources. I know you've talked about that before, but maybe you could refresh my memory.
Steve... suck up (teacher's pet) You said (My studies (continued as a result of our discourse on David's blog) have led me to the conclusion that the Septuagint predates the Hebrew text and that... )...
Oh, Christine will have something to say about my conclusions, lol! Harry will not read, and Yaiqab is tired of being slapped around.

Nun
According to the theology of the Ogdoad the universe was formed from the interaction of eight elements (instigated by one of a number of possible gods including Thoth, Amun, Horus and Ra); water, nothingness or invisibility, darkness and infinity. Water was represented by Nun and Naunet (the female form). Although the Egyptians had many different creation myths, they all agreed that the universe came from the primordeal waters of Nun, and many legends suggested that everything would slip back under these waters at the end of the world. There were no priests or temples devoted specifically to Nun, but he was represented by the sacred lake of each temple and was frequently referred to in religious inscriptions. Nun existed in every particle of water and formed the source of the river Nile and the yearly innundation. The god was also associated with the laying of foundations for all temples, possibly because the Egyptians used simple and effective technique which took advantage of the fact that water will always form a horizontal level in order to ensure that the foundation layers of structures were flat.
Nun is often associated with the forces of chaos. When Ra decided that the people were not giving him the respect he was due, it was Nun who suggested that Re should send out his 'eye' to destroy mankind and end the world. However, unlike the water serpent Apep (who was the enemy of Ra and a purely destructive force) Nun had a positive aspect. Nun protected Shu and Tefnut from the forces of chaos, as represented by demonic snakes. According to one myth it was Nun who told Nut to transform herself into a solar cow and carry Ra across the sky because he had become old and weary.
Nun was represented as a frog or a frog-headed man (as a member of the Ogdoad) but could also be depicted as a bearded man with blue or green skin (reflecting his link with the river Nile and fertility). In thie latter form he can look fairly similar to Hapi, the god of the Nile, and often appears either standing on a solar boat or rising from the waters holding a palm frond (a symbol of long life) Occassionaly he appears as a hemaphrodite with pronounced breasts.
In Memphis, Nun was associated with the creator god, Ptah in the form of the composite deity Ptah-Nun. Both gods were described as the father of the sun god (Ra or Atum), However, rival priests claimed that Thebes was the place where the primeval mound first rose above the waters of Nun. As Amun was both the creator god of Thebes and a member of the Ogdoad they suggested that Nun had been a powerful, but inert force until Amun turned himself into the primeval mound and thereafter created the other gods.
Ra was often described as the father of the gods. He was sometimes thought to be married to Hesat or Hathor although the latter is usually referred to as his daughter. As his worship was pre-dated by that of some of his "children" (such as Hathor and Horus) it seems likely that he took on this role when he was associated with the creator god Atum.
According to the Pyramid Texts, Ra (as Atum) emerged from the waters of Nun as a benben stone (an obelisk-like pillar). He then spat forth Shu (air) and Tefnut (moisture), and Tefnut in turn gave birth to Geb (earth) and Nut (sky). Ra tried to separate Geb and Nut by placing Shu between them and decreed that Nut could not give birth on any day of the calendar. However, Thoth won an extra five days from the moon so that Nut could give birth to Osiris, Set, Isis, Nephthys and Horus the Elder.
It was thought that Ra "died" or was swallowed by Nut every evening as the sun dipped below the horizon. He travelled through the world of the dead by night and was then reborn in the morning (making Nut both his granddaughter and his mother). At sunset he was linked to Horakhty (Horus on the Horizon) and Atum and at dawn he was linked to the scarab beetle, Khepri ("the Emerging One") and Nefertum
Ra-Horakhty-Atum was associated with Osiris as the manifestation of the sun at night. When Osiris was murdered by his brother Set, he became the God of the Underworld. Thus the Pharaoh was the son of Ra who ruled as the living Horus and who became Osiris on his death.
According to another myth, Ra ruled on earth as Pharaoh until he became old and weary. The people had lost respect for him and no longer obeyed his laws and so Ra decided that they should be punished. He sent his "Eye" to teach them a lesson, but then had to arrange to get her drunk to prevent her killing everyone. Once the danger had been averted, Ra decided it was time for him to leave the world to Horus ( who took his place as the king) and travel across the sky on Nut's back.

DAVID JOHNSON
Hello Cynthia,
Let me show you how stupid you are. You say NO that Black Americans should no t become a sovereign free people in a country of our own. You have no idea how much it hurt me to read that you don’t want Black Americans to be sovereign free in a country of our own. The opposite of what you are saying is that we Black Americans including yourself should stay an inferior and surprised people forever. The ancestors’ spirits can only be freed in us and every coming generation, but when we don’t want to be free than our ancestors will always remain slaves in their graves and their suffering would have no justice. You are stupid as hell.
Secondly, we did not come from Sierra Leone or any part of Africa because we are not Africans. We are a new race of people born out of the ashes of plantation slavery when the White males bred themselves with their African slave women continuously for 300 years thus resulting in a new race of people. History supports that plantation slavery did happen and that Whites bred themselves over and over with their slaves changing the Africans into a new race of people using their own sperms. Just about every Black slave woman of child bearing age stayed pregnant.
Thirdly, Liberia did not exist before slavery so there is no need to remember Liberia stupid.
You all have a brain and can’t think and reason worth a ****.
Your kind of thinking could never move Black Americas ahead.
Mr. Amun Ria and Mr. Hous belong to the Egyptian people and therefore Black Americans have no association or connection to these Egyptian gods.
Moses had the same tough time explaining to his dumb-ass Hebrew people the same thing because they had come to believe they had a connection to the gods of the Egyptian people. You all are stupid indeed.
Black Americans can not be found in the ways of other people. Black Americans can only be found in Black Americans. Likewise, Arabian people can only be found in Arabian people. Jewish people can only be found in Jewish people. When you find a people looking for themselves in another people’s ways, customs, prophets and religion then know that we are an extremely dumb people. No other people are trying to find themselves in us Black Americans so why should we be looking to find ourselves in other people?
The only reason Farrakhan and Siebra are following the ways of the Arabian people is because Farrakhan and Siebra are extremely stupid. The only reason Dr. King and Ms. Bride have embraced the Jewish Jesus as their Lord and Savior is because they are ignorant and stupid. Black Americans don’t know any better and I am here to teach us better and instill within us divine wisdom.
So, the hell with Mr. Ria and Mr. Hous, okay. We are not Egyptian people. Let us talk about us for a change. We seem to know a lot of other people, but know nothing about ourselves. Let see if we can change that!
Again Harry I cannot agree with you about another country of borders we can call our own. I like Florida ....
((You all have a brain and can’t think and reason worth a ****)) Again your IQ is 68; and even if my IQ was 68.025 I'd still be smarter than you... and I still will not agree with you.
I told you I want my 40 acres and a mule; so that I can have my own land that I enclose with my fence borders...
Now stick to the dayum blog Passover ....

Cynthia,
Again, let me show you how stupid you are. You say that all you want is 40 aces. Well, stupid if 41 million Black Americans would want 40 aces like you do and you multiply 40 aces by 41 million Black Americans isn’t the out come a country of our own for the most part?
You say that you can’t agree with me, but you are agreeing with me by just wanting 40 aces and you don’t see it for yourself.
You all are stupid and can’t analytically reason and that is because we are descendents of slaves and slaves can’t reason am I right.
I don't know Harry, why don't you read it and find out for yourself?

Steve,
Analytically reasoning I know that my Black American people and I could never be found in another people just because the other people that you favor are racially different from Black Americans.
Any people such as Black Americans that believes that they have found themselves or can find themselves in another people then Black Americans have already implied that the other people are superior people and that is a crippling way of thinking. I am wiser than King Solomon was Steve even with my 68 IQ.
Likewise, you would never find Crow birds in Raven birds am I right. the habits and nature of both birds are different.
So, reading Mr. Philo Alexander writings to find myself is a waste of my time. However, it you think something that Mr. Philo said that prove me wrong extract it and show it to me dummy.
Christina ,Steve and sis i found this info to be interesting makes you think humm
Ogdoad of Hermopolis (Khmunu)
Hermopolis means "the city of Hermes" in Greek. The Greeks gave it that name because it was a major cult centre of the god Thoth who they associated with their god Hermes, but the Egyptians knew it as Khmunu ("the City of the Eight").
The Ogdoad was a system of eight deities, four gods and their consorts (the number four was considered to represent completeness). Each pair represented the male and female aspects of the four creative powers or sources. Nun and Naunet represented the primeval waters; Heh and Hauhet represented eternity; Kuk and Kuaket represented darkness; and Amun and Amaunet represented air (or that which is hidden). The gods were all depicted with frog´s heads, while the goddesses had the heads of serpents. Only Amun went on to be considered as more than a primeval force. While Nun was still referred to often, it was only as the representation of the waters of Chaos.
These eight elements interacted causing an explosion (the Big Bang?) and the burst of energy which was released caused the primeval mound (located at Hermopolis, but originally known as the "Isle of Flame") to rise from the water. It was thought The gods and goddesses of the Ogdoad then ruled the earth during the Golden Age. When they died they took up residence in the "Duat" (or "Tuat" - the Underworld). The ensured that the Nile continued to flow, that the inundation would come every year and caused the sun to rise each day.

here are four central creation myths. The first held that the world was born from a cosmic egg created by the gods of the Ogdoad. It was invisible as the sun had not yet been born. When it opened, it revealed the "bird of light", an aspect of the sun god Re (occasionally the egg was said to contain air, associated with Amun and Amaunet). Alternatively, the egg was laid by a celestial goose called the Gengen Wer (the primeval goose who was associated with Amun who took this form as a creator god). When Re hatched from the egg, he created the world and everything in it. The second version says that the egg was laid by an ibis, (a bird sacred to Thoth). However, the cult of Thoth developed after the original myth of the Ogdoad, so it is probable that this story was an attempt to incorporate Thoth into the pre-existing Ogdoad (who were sometimes known as "the souls of Thoth").
The third myth states that a lotus flower emerged from the waters of "the Sea of the Two Knives" (a lake near to the temple in Hermopolis). The petals opened to reveal Re who then created the world. The fourth myth is similar, except it held that a scarab beetle (Khepri - the symbol of the rising sun) was revealed when the petals opened. The scarab transformed into a young boy whose tears formed the first human beings. The boy is generally considered to be Nefertum ("young Atum") but once Re and Horus had been merged as Re-Horakhty the boy was sometimes considered to be the infant Horus.
The Hermopolitans claimed that their theory of creation was older than any other in Egypt and that it was the Ogdoad who gave birth to both the sun and Atum . It is also interesting to note the similarity between the Ogdoad and the description of the creation of the world found in the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Old Testament).

Harry,
I made two conclusions, both backed up with evidence.
"My studies (continued as a result of our discourse on David's blog) have led me to the conclusion that the Septuagint predates the Hebrew text and that the 9th-10th century Hebrew text is a translation of the Greek and not the other way around.. The extant Greek is centuries earlier than the oldest Hebrew text. There is also the fact that most of the quotes in the NT don't match the Hebrew OT, they match the Septuagint."
That I backed up with two considerations.
1) The NT quotes match the Septuagint, not the Hebrew text, and I gave an example. Look at the New Testament quotes and compare them with your Hebrew bible and with the Septuagint and prove that I am wrong. The New English Translation of the Septuagint can be accessed here:
2) I referenced a scholarly work which you will just have to read yourself. If you disagree with the author of that work then give your reasons based on what the author says.
The Pyramid Texts are a collection of funerary inscriptions written on the walls of nine Fifth and Sixth Dynasty pyramids (generally dated to around 2350 B.C.E). The oldest of the texts is from the pyramid of Unas, but it is generally thought that the texts were already very old at that time. It is often suggested that they were composed around 3000-3100 B.C.E, making them the oldest sacred texts in the world. For example, Utterances 273-4 (also known as the Cannibal Hymn) refer to a funerary cult that predates the pyramids (thought to have been constructed around 2500-2560 B.C.E).
On the other hand, the Enuma Elish is a Babylonian creation story from the 14th to 12th centuries BCE. Berossus appears to have drawn from this source.
Berossus wrote in the 3rd century BCE, and the earliest parts of the Septuagint were also written in the 3rd century BCE.
So the Egyptian creation stories are the earliest ones that tell that the earth was covered by the ocean and a creative force caused the dry land to appear. Just as we have in Genesis.
My concern is to understand the origins of Christianity. It was a result of evolution, in my opinion. In the ancient world there was commerce between Egypt and Babylonia, and subsequently, a cultural exchange. Of the sources we have, the Egyptian are the oldest.
Christine.... This is what I am studying now in Black Psychology:
The New Kingdom (c. 1570-1085 B.C.) witnessed: the rule of Amenhotep I, II, IV (Amenhotep IV introduced monotheism to Kemet and the world), Tuthmosis I, II, III, and IV, Makare Hatshepsut (the queen who proclaimed herself pharaoh and ruled during the minority of her nephew Tuthmosis III), and Rameses I and II (the Great), whose temple doorways were flanked by large pylons or towers (often with statues or obelisks in front), the construction of the famous rock carved temple of Abu Simbel, and the establishment of Wa-Set/Wo-Se' (Thebes) and Memphis as the intellectual, political, commercial, and cultural center of the world. After the twentieth dynasty (1200-1085 B.C.), Kemet was subject to foreign domination by Libya, Sudan, Assyria, Nubia, and Persia, with only a brief period of independence in 405 B.C., which ended in 332 B.C. When Alexander, the "Great" (a former student of Aristotle), and his army invaded.
And I do believe that is where we left off from your last teachings three years ago.
I remember the reason Alexander the Great was so popular... BEcause he wanted to concquer as much territory because he wanted to please Zeus....
I don't see it so much in baby development but I was thinking about this a couple of days ago when I was visiting my grandkids, ages 4 and 5. I think a big part of the reason kids are smarter at that age now is because it's common for them to go to preschool. They get an earlier start than we did, both in learning and society. I think it's good for them.
As far as Creation, the creation myths documented in Ancient Egypt persist to this day. They have evolved, just changing in form. Myself, I believe in both Creation and Evolution. God can certainly create by means of evolution.

The Egyptians understood the solar circuit as a circumnavigation of the world by boat. They saw the world itself as a finite space bounded by land and sky; these two elements were personified respectively as the god Geb and the goddess Nut, whose genders reflect the Egyptian words for “land” (masculine tæ) and “sky” (feminine pt). This world was thought to exist within an infinite ocean, called Nu (“Waters”), which was kept from engulfing the earth by the atmosphere, incorporated in the god Shu, whose name means both “void” and “dry.”The sky was seen as the surface of the cosmic ocean where it met the atmosphere, and the sun’s daily journey through the sky therefore required a boat, known as the Dayboat.
6 And God said, “Let there be a dome in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” 7 So God made the dome and separated the waters that were under the dome from the waters that were above the dome. And it was so. 8 God called the dome Sky. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.
Writings from the Ancient World is designed to provide up-to-date, readable English translations of writings recovered from the ancient Near East.
The series is intended to serve the interests of general readers, students, and educators who wish to explore the ancient Near Eastern roots of Western civilization or to compare these earliest written expressions of human thought and activity with writings from other parts of the world. It should also be useful to scholars in the humanities or social sciences who need clear, reliable translations of ancient Near Eastern materials for comparative purposes. Specialists in particular areas of the ancient Near East who need access to texts in the scripts and languages of other areas will also find these translations helpful. Given the wide range of materials translated in the series, different volumes will appeal to different interests. However, these translations make available to all readers of English the world’s earliest traditions as well as valuable sources of information on daily life, history, religion, and the like in the preclassical world.
The translators of the various volumes in this series are specialists in the particular languages and have based their work on the original sources and the most recent research. In their translations they attempt to convey as much as possible of the original texts in fluent, current English. In the introductions, notes, glossaries, maps, and chronological tables, they aim to provide the essential information for an appreciation of these ancient documents.
The ancient Near East reached from Egypt to Iran and, for the purposes of our volumes, ranged in time from the invention of writing (by 3000 B.C.E.) to the conquests of Alexander the Great (ca. 330 B.C.E.).
The cultures represented within these limits include especially Egyptian, Sumerian, Babylonian, Assyrian, Hittite, Ugaritic, Aramean, Phoenician, and Israelite. It is hoped that Writings from the Ancient World will eventually produce translations from most of the many different genres attested in these cultures: letters (official and private), myths, diplomatic documents, hymns, law collections, monumental inscriptions, tales, and administrative records, to mention but a few.
Significant funding was made available by the Society of Biblical Literature for the preparation of this volume. In addition, those involved in preparing this volume have received financial and clerical assistance from their respective institutions. Were it not for these expressions of confidence in our work, the arduous tasks of preparation, translation, editing, and publication could not have been accomplished or even undertaken. It is the hope of all who have worked with the Writings from the Ancient World series that our translations will open up new horizons and deepen the humanity of all who read these volumes.
Tomorrow, February 17, 2013, marks the 413th anniversary of the superstition based brutal murder of the freethinking philosopher Giordano Bruno who was burned alive by the Catholic Church. Bruno's crime/sin was that he openly embraced and used his God-given reason and he openly encouraged others to do the same. Since Christianity exists in strong and obvious violation of our innate God-given reason the Catholic Church had Bruno arrested for heresy, kept him in deplorable conditions locked up in a prison for eight long years before burning him alive.
Some of the ideas Bruno had that so upset the Christians was that he agreed with Copernicus that the Sun does NOT orbit the Earth but that the Earth orbits the Sun. Bruno went even further than Copernicus and believed and taught that the Sun is simply one star of countless other stars in the vast Universe. Bruno rightly believed that the Universe is full of stars like our Sun which have planets orbiting them. He also believed that we are not the only intelligent life in the vast Universe. All of these ideas greatly upset the Christians, from the Protestants in the north of Europe to the Catholics in the south.
Bruno's ideas and teachings directly tied to theology which greatly upset all Christians including the Roman Inquisition included the belief that Jesus is not God and that Mary was not a virgin. His rejection of the Catholic superstition of transubstantiation (that the communion wafer literally turns into the body and blood of Jesus after it is swallowed by the faithful) put Bruno beyond redemption in the eyes of the Roman Inquisition. As recently as the year 2000, which was a jubilee year of forgiveness for the Catholic Church, Pope John Paul II refused to pardon or forgive Bruno as he had Galileo seven years earlier. The Catholic Church said that Bruno had deviated too far from Christian doctrine to receive a Christian pardon. And on top of this, Bruno's inquisitor, Cardinal Bellarmine, was made a saint by the Catholic Church in 1930.
A teaching of Bruno's which is important for all Deists and freethinkers to keep in mind and to act upon is, "Whoever waits for time is wasting time. If I wait for time, time does not wait for me." This is a profound call to action for all Deists and freethinkers! Make it a point to bring Bruno up in conversation with your family and friends, especially on February 17th, and let them know what a true God-loving hero Bruno was and the example he has given us all to stand for what is right in the face of "revealed"/hearsay religions and popular opinion.

Because if I look at my father and his beliefs (Spirits/God of Rain... God of Health; Angels of Death and Life). But he knows that there is a God whom has the highest order and that God has his Angels/Spirits to come to his people.
Yep... The Bible says The Children would be come wiser... Because we are forever progressing in Technology ... Science...
I remember in my Logic class we were discussing Intelligent Design and my Professor asked me did I believe in Intelligence...
I told her yes, I used the example of the baby.... But I also pointed out that we as individuals were constructed and created in God's Image... And God said it was good. So wouldn't his creation have the ability to gather as much knowledge as our Creator?\
When my mother had me, the knowledge that she has does not superceed my knowledge and because of my evolution into learning, being taught different things... NOW wouldn't you think GOD wants his creation to be the best self possible.
Also, in Science I see time and time again, look how much we/man have learned through the years, Small Pox, Anthrax, .... but the BRAIN is still a mystery... Man can't figure it out... WE Try but .... GOD said the mind of the man is only known to him.... We don't know, but HE knows everything about his creation... when we die...
Ok... lt me see how many comments I'm going to have to delete. Any comments that indicate that anything I've posted was completely ignored, will be summarily deleted. I don't post researched facts for my own educational health. Strong suggestion... you post on this blog, makes sure it's in direct response to something that either myself or someone else has said. I block people who choose to simply ignore posts and just push their own poorly researched arguments. *Consider yourself w.a.r.n.e.d..

Harry... you have bought into the fictional idea of the... 'Black American'. No such creature exists and if he does he is only the Frankenstein creation by white people who have miseducated them out of the knowledge of who they have been, who they are and who they still must be. People you call 'Black Americans' are the children of the Akan people, the Wolof, the Ga, the Dogon peoples, the Hause, the Yoruba, the Ewe, the Baramba, the Mende, the Mandingo, the Songhay and so many others I cannot even begin to name. These people who you have been miseducated and socialized to call 'Black Americans' and 'African Americans' are children of prisoners of a lost war, the war of 1571, when the Songhay empire disintegrating upon itself at the end of a natural cycle was set upon by European and Arab interests. We are the result of that lost war. Black people are a sovereign people no matter where they are in this planet because the planet belongs to them. It was given to them by God and taken from them by others who were much less fortunate. You don't have to like any of the these historical realities, but they are nonetheless real and true. The fact that your own African mind is beyond recovery is no one's loss and tragedy but your own. I've no sympathy for you and in fact could really care less. There are far too many black people in this country who still possess their natural and overwhelming desire to reconnect with that which was torn asunder by war and racial imprisonment. No child can stand to be permanently separated from it's mother without growing up to feel incomplete. This is nature and no stupid book written by Greek homos*xuals can trump Mother Nature; not any day of the week. Have a good evening.

Harry after reading some of your posts, I honestly believe that you've reached a point in your life where you are literally i.n.c.a.p.a.b.l.e. of learning anything that does not fall within the parameters of the worldview you've already been saddled with:
* the "... 'educated Negroes' have the attitude of contempt toward their own people because in their own as well as in their mixed schools Negroes are taught to admire the Hebrew, the Greek, the Latin and the Teuton and to despise the African."
Carter G. Woodson: Miseducation of the Negro (the founder of 'Negro History Week' which was later extended to Black History Month')
That's you Harry... the miseducated Negro. Samuel Jackson did an awesome job in portraying you in the movie 'Django Unchained'.

Steve, this should be of some help to determine just how much of the content that went into the Septuagint came from the Egyptian content in the 'library':
"As already stated, the Library was intended to be universal, comprising the writings of all nations. F.o.r.e.m.o.s.t. among non-Greek works, was no doubt the E.g.y.p.t.i.a.n. section."
Keeping in mind that the statement is still mostly a mind f**k in that the Greeks had no 'works' in any true sense of the word. So that basically the so-called 'f.o.r.e.m.o.s.t.' section. You might wanna comb through this site in general as I've found it to be stocked chock full of some good stuff. http://www.greece.org/alexandria/library/l...
Harry... also; *On my blogs people are not allowed to just say whatever they wish to just fart out of their faces. If you say something be prepared to back it up and substantiate it with requisite documentation. If you're not prepared to do it then don't say it, because if you proceed as such you will simply be blocked. It's unfair that we should do all of the research, post all of the findings and facts furthering everyone's knowledge base and you just get to beat your chest and scream loud about what you think is correct. Your opinion has little to no value here, just as mind does. All that matters is what can be substantiated, proved, documented and evidenced. If you're not here to contribute to that then take your sycophantic ravings to Jake's C Thru Hebroo page where you two can have a Greek love fest. You say you have all of back up with you when you make statements Harry? Well then start posting it so it can be perused by everyone else... we don't do 'High Priests' of information here. If you've got something to share that will substantiate your assertions and beliefs then by all means share it with the group and let us dissect it and discern for ourselves. There's no harm in that and that is the responsible way to proceed. Opinion holds little weight in my blogs... documented proven facts hold the bulk of the weight and the gravity, with room for speculation and assertions culled from the information brought forth. Here we are scientists... first.

The work of Herodotus was not promoting ethnocentrism, rather his passages regarding the Egyptians revolved around cultural relativism. Herodotus did not think that the Greek civilization was better than the Egyptian civilization. However, he did use the differences between the two as an instrument to describe Egypt. I have to admit that Herodotus was a performer. As a oral historian for much of his life, he had to attract a crowd to listen to him. I remember how he compared Egypt to Greece from many angles. Egypt’s customs, religions, lifestyles, and environment were all analyzed and separated into those that were similar to Greece and those that were different. He related the Egyptian culture to the Greek culture. But, the reason was not to expose the Egyptians for their oddities. Herodotus realized that there was no better way to describe something that his audience had not heard about than to compare the Egyptian culture to something that the Greeks were familiar with, their own culture. James Redfield in "Herodotus the Tourist" unfairly said "...Herodotus seems thus not the precursor of [modern anthropologists] as of Strange as It Seems and Believe It or Not." He wanted to make the learning of other cultures interesting. He talked of how the countries were different without making the Egyptians appear in the center ring of a circus show. Some may forget that both Jerry Springer’s talk show and the Discovery channel explore the "oddities" of the world. Redfield attempted to place Herodotus alongside Springer, exposing the oddities of humanity to attract a crowd. However, after seeing him speak and reading his book, I realized that he was an explorer, documenting the great wonders of the world hidden from my immediate view.
A proof that Herodotus did not think that the Egyptians were inferior was his comparison of the Greek and Egyptian religions. "The names of nearly all the gods came to Greece from Egypt. I know from the inquiries I have made that they came from abroad, and it seems most likely that it was from Egypt, for the names of all of the gods have been known in Egypt from the beginning of time." (p. 105) Herodotus could not have been ethnocentric because of the way he pursued the influences of Egypt on Greece. He would not put a country on display for its oddities and inferiorities and then move on to show how his own culture took many of its customs. Instead, the excerpt produces the opposite result; Herodotus holds the Egyptians in esteem for their antiquity and what they gave to Greece

Herodotus invoked Egypt’s influences on Greece to help me realize what it meant to be Greek as well as to understand the Egyptian culture. What better way to learn about yourself than to learn about those that are different and why they are different. Thus, Herodotus compared and contrasted Egypt and Greece to show exactly what Greece was. I would not know light if I lived my entire life in darkness. Likewise, I cannot know my culture unless someone reveals other cultures to me. The passage regarding the Egyptian influence on Greek religion advances the descriprion of Greece. Ethnocentrism cannot exist when one acknowledges that his or her culture developed from other races. When Herodotus told me that Greek religion developed from the Egyptian religion, the distance that separated our two cultures lessened. By teaching me about the Egyptians, Herodotus enabled me to know more about Greece and also respect other cultures.
In the ancient world of rising and falling empires, there arose a great man with a modern message. Herodotus said that Egypt was odd, but also that difference was good. He showed the Greeks that there were other ways to write, different clothes to be worn, and different ideas to be thought. His object in writing the book was to show the great aspects of humanity; he himself said so repeatedly throughout the inquiry. Though people such as Redfield attempt to twist his words into a negative view of the Egyptians, Herodotus showed people, myself included, that other cultures are worthy of exploration. He spent time and energy observing the Egyptians, making his efforts prove that his purpose was not to praise the Greek culture but to discover other aspects of humanity. Then he used cultural relativism to help describe the strange place to his audience and make it interesting to learn. He was an explorer of both the Egyptian culture and a definer of the Greek culture. Remember Herodotus not as an ethnocentric man bound to the ways of the Greek culture, but see him as I do. Herodotus was a Greek historian bound to the ways of humanity, recording the differences which defined us.

Steve those are some awesome links.... Thanks

I came boldly on your blog said that Prof. Dr. John G, Jackson and you are wrong that the Jewish Bible is a copy of Egypt’s Book of the Dead.
The Bible is the testimony of the Jewish people telling the world that the things in the Bible actually happened to them.
I backed up what I said by referring to the Jewish ritual celebration of the PassOver that Moses instituted 4000 years ago in the Book of Exodus. The descendents of Moses in the State of Israel still celebrate this ritual today the same way it was done the first time. Surely, the Jewish PassOver ritual was not copied from the Egyptian’s Book of the Dead and it is ignorant of you to believe so in view of the Jewish ritual PassOver.
Now, what part of what I just said is ranting?
Stop the garbage and admit that I am right that the Jewish Bible is not a copy of the Egyptian’s Book of the Dead.
Now, what you need to do is step forward and say that I am wrong about the PassOver and that PassOver is a fake and everybody will know for sure that you are ignorant. Either say that I am wrong or either admit that I am right.

yall let me handle this one for you ,,,,,
HARRY Your opinion has little to no value here All that matters is what can be substantiated, proved, documented and evidenced. If you're not here to contribute to that then take your sycophantic ravings to Jake's C Thru Hebroo page time amd time again you seem to really show of your I Q ,,,,,BUT YOU GONNA LEARN TODAY ! The Ten Commandments given by God to Moses on the top of Mount Sinai are clearly set in an Egyptian tradition and would seem to have common roots with the Egyptian Book of the Dead. Except for the first two commandments, we find the same moral rules in the Hebrew Bible that are also found in the Egyptian hieroglyphic writings. Egyptian religion was a polytheistic belief, and hundreds of gods and goddesses were worshiped in the Nile valley. These deities were believed to manifest themselves in certain images and the artists of that time captured these images in pictures and statues. This was completely forbidden by the Monotheistic God of Moses in the first two of his commandments given in Chapter 20 of the Book of Exodus: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth."
Also, unlike the Israelites, Egyptians believed in a second life after death. They believed that every person has, other than his physical body, a dual spiritual nature, which they called the KA and the BA. They also regarded the name and shadow of a person as living entities, part of the spiritual existence, not just linguistic and natural phenomena. Thus Egyptians regarded death as simply a temporary interruption rather than a complete cessation of life, and believed that after their death, they faced a trial in the underworld before the god Osiris and his forty-two judges in the Hall of Judgment. In the Egyptian culture, eternal life had to be ensured by various means, including the preservation of the physical body through mummification, the provision of funerary equipment, and the presence of magical spells in the tomb to protect the dead person in his journey in the underworld.
Their composition of the texts relating to death and afterlife went back to the Pyramid Texts, the first examples of which were inscribed in the 5th dynasty pyramid of Unas (2375 - 2345 BC) at Saqqara. By the time of the 18th dynasty, about 1500 BC, these spells were copied on rolls of papyrus and placed within the coffins. These rolls have come to be known now as copies of the Book of the Dead. This is, nevertheless, a modern term, as the Egyptians themselves called it "Going Forth by Day."
The Ten Commandments represent God's orders to humans given in the imperative form; the Egyptian texts use this form:
Thou shalt not kill. Thou shat not commit adultery. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
Spell 125 of the Book of the Dead, contrary to the Book of Exodus, contains a moral code represented in a form of Negative Confession that the dead person has to recite when he descends to the hall of the Two Truths. He shall say:
Hail to thee, great God, Lord of the Two Truths. I have come unto thee, my Lord, that thou mayest bring me to see thy beauty. I know thee, I know thy name, I know the names of the 42 Gods who are with thee in this broad hall of the Two Truths . . . Behold, I am come unto thee. I have brought thee truth; I have done away with sin for thee. I have not sinned against anyone. I have not mistreated people. I have not done evil instead of righteousness . . .
I have not reviled the God. I have not laid violent hands on an orphan. I have not done what the God abominates . . . I have not killed; I have not turned anyone over to a killer. I have not caused anyone's suffering . . . I have not copulated (illicitly); I have not been unchaste. I have not increased nor diminished the measure, I have not diminished the palm; I have not encroached upon the fields. I have not added to the balance weights; I have not tempered with the plumb bob of the balance. I have not taken milk from a child's mouth; I have not driven small cattle from their herbage . . . I have not stopped (the flow of) water in its seasons; I have not built a dam against flowing water. I have not quenched a fire in its time . . . I have not kept cattle away from the God's property. I have not blocked the God at his processions. http://dwij.org/forum/amarna/2_cmndmts_boo...

Christmas and Easter are ‘change of season’ celebrations. Easter is an equinox celebration and Christmas is all about celebrating the winter solstice. Go and look at your calanders… Easter sunday = the first Sunday that follows the first full moon after the vernal equinox. it is a contrived population control document. see if you can put you miget mind to work Harry go and research it.
