TMI & Partners, Ltd has internship openings for students who have an interest or experience in Marketing / Promotion and Public Relations. The program runs through the summer, and fall semesters. Candidates must be available at least 15 hours a week.
To apply, students must complete the following:
- Sign-up on HBCULinkup.com. Include Pix and complete Bio
- (500 word blog) explaining:
- “Why I want to working in Marketing and Promotions” or
- “Why I want to work in Public Relations.”
Applicants granted interviews must show:- Proof that they are a senior currently in High School or
- Proof that they are presently enrolled in college
Responsibilities:- Research small business marketing and promotion trends
- Assisting the content development team with updating several websites
- Communicating and interacting with small businesses across the country
- Communicate with colleges and high schools
- Post Twitter / Facebook and Blogs announcements
Basic Qualifications:- Must currently be a senior in HS or enrolled in college
- Access to a computer, phone and Skype connection
- Works well in a team setting and takes direction
- Strong communication skills and work ethic
- Have a strong urge to learn and improve
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of technology trends and online services
- Proficient with (Word/Excel/ PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with leading social media and blogging platforms
Desired Qualifications:- Experience in journalism, marketing, or communications
- Basic knowledge of photography or videography
- Spanish fluency (is a plus)
