The southern part of Japan was condensed with ash and smoke as a huge volcano eruption covered ash and smoke around. Many civilians in the province covered their faces with masks and or cloths to prevent inhaling the ash covered town. This latest eruption occurred only hours today Sunday, August 18, 2013. It's was said that the volcano was one of largest on record for this region of Japan. No fatalities were reported, but the dense ash and smoke has many staying inside until the dust settles. UPDATE: Monday, August 19, 2013 The volcanic eruption on Sunday was from the Sakurajima Volcano. Reports confirm no injuries. Clean up crews worked to sweep and clean up ash and the air was said to be clearing up. This was the volcano's 500th eruption this year and was one the greatest recorded from its record.
