
The Kwanzaa celebration has grown over the past years when it was first introduced 47 years ago. More of a remembrance celebration KWANZAA has become a regular part of Afro-American families all over the United States. Kwanzaa celebrates family community and culture. Lighting candles usually with colors of red, green and black each day for one week. The theme for Kwanzaa this year is "Celebrating and Living Kwanzaa" This year Kwanzaa turns 47 years old. Whether you celebrate the holiday or not, a light conversation over it offers some education of the growing popular holiday celebration. Kwanzaa week started December 26, 2013 and ends on January 1, 2014 I kept it light! Go light your own Kwanzaa candles...
