Peace,
As we say goodbye to 2013 and welcome 2014, let's find a way to be grateful for all the great things we have (and had) the opportunity to experience. Let's critically look at the year before, analyze, extract wisdom from the lessons of the failures, express joy at the triumphs, then plan for this year that we may justify breathing Allah's air on His Earth.
We all are growing on our own course of life. Sometimes our paths cross. Sometimes not. There is more than one way to get to the top of a mountain. WHEN I see you at the top, I don't care if you took a different route than I did. ALL I CARE ABOUT IS YOU MADE IT TO THE TOP!
Forgive yourself for past failures, whether others forgive you or not, forgive yourself. YOU CAN NOT CHANGE THE PAST, ONLY THE FUTURE. Study the past, extract wisdom from whatever happened, plan for the future but you can't live there either! LIVE LIFE TO IT'S FULLEST EVERY WAKING MOMENT because LIFE IS TOO BEAUTIFUL, TOO PRECIOUS AND TOO SHORT to waste a second of it.
This year is another opportunity to get more involved in the community around you. Be creative. Be innovative. Prepare for the future without fear. KEEP the faith and DROP the fear.
Peace in the truest sense of the expression. May Allah bless you all to have a happy and safe 2014!
