This Detroit legend is up there with the likes of Carl Craig, Derrick Carter and Jeff Mills as an artist who has shaped and moulded a genre. That's right, we have the 'Inspirational House' hero Terrence Parker and what a mix he's done for us.
He's released on celebrated labels such as !K7, Systematic and Detroit's own Planet E and his remix list is pretty special with edits tailored for Wyclef Jean, Akon, Beyonce, Shakira, Kanye West and Christina Aguilera.
His unique turntablism style of mixing house music is revered by all who have seen him play and he's now become synonymous for DJing using a telephone handset as opposed to headphones, earning him the nickname 'Telephone Man'.
With his illustrious past, Parker is now set to release a new album at the end of the month and 'Life On The Back 9' is 12 tracks of straight up, inspirational, soulful house music that could only come from his talented mind. For his In Session mix Terrence has stepped up to the challenge with great ease, serving up a slice of summer in an hour.
