A blaze unleashed in forest fires has caused the New Jersey shore towns to take run to refuge. Heavy smokes and burning took down estimated 1,500 acres of trees and along with destroying several homes. In addition many residents are packing up to leave the dangerous path the fire is taking. Thursday, April 24, 2014 swept over timbers blazing and smoking with favorably dry and windy conditions which nearby schools were closed due to the smoke in the air. The initial fire begin in the Bevans Wildlife Management area and spread quickly to the area southern parts. Containment of the fire is still in its difficult stages, but firefighters are busy combatting a course to bring the fire to a rest.
