Much can be done to change conditions of a people. Unity is very powerful in that it draws attention to the need for change. Here in the 21st century, it takes more than strength in numbers, though. Look at South Africa with all the black Africans unified are unable to overpower the minority white regime. Look at Palestine and the West Bank unable to overpower the minority Israel government.
In America, African Americans were unified in Ferguson about the recent murder of an unarmed teen. The White government showed up with tanks and superior technical might which was able to squish the unrest.
This is why ISIS is such a threat to America and the rest of the world. ISIS have been able to capture technical weapons from their enemy and now in their possession. As long as African American remain a bunch of singers, dancers, sports artist, poets and rappers, it is merely crying wolf. But, as more blacks take to the sciences like engineering, chemistry, and construction......then OMG
