Ok! I'm trying really hard to be patient with folk, but here we go, AGAIN! First of all, the heffer called me at 8:15am in the morning and woke me up. That was the first strike. She doesn't introduce herself but just starts in with what she called me about without as if we know each other.... Mind you, we never spoke or met in person.
Apparently she was relaying the date and time of a training that I had requested, but then she tells me to also attend something else and then take a lunch break until the training starts. That's a 2 1/2 to 3 hour break. I'm not paid and this is my time so I didn't appreciate her dictating my day which was the second strike!
Lastly, I forgot I had a preset appointment on the day of the training and called the agency the day prior to the training to let her know. She calls me at 7:30am the day of the training but I had gotten smart had my earplugs in and didn't hear the phone when it rang but I listened to her message. Plus she left me an email. She's telling me that it's not ok to cancel and that I need to attend ( an unpaid training ).
Really?!
I replied her email. In that email, I told her how I didn't appreciate the tone of her email and that I wasn't a child and could decide what I needed to do for myself. Need I say that she didn't like it and said I was unprofessional and first impressions are important. I was going to type that a simple apology would do, but instead I agreed that first impressions can be lasting (meaning ... Her dudu stank(s), too).
