Nicole Ari Parker and Boris Kodjoe are heating up the magazine circuit with their new KONTROL magazine cover. They make marriage look easy (and s*xy as all hell.) But in the issue, the hot Hollywood couple dishes on the pressure to stay together and maintaining a certain image. Find out what they said inside….
It’s hard enough trying to keep a marriage solid in our digital age. And even harder when you’re constantly in the public eye. But, Nicole Ari Parker and Boris Kodjoe seem to make it work.
Celebrating 10 years of marital bliss, the Kodjoes will be taking their relationship into a different realm with a brand new talk show that they will co-host…together. And we’re days away (July 6th) before "The Boris & Nicole Show" premieres on Fox outlets in several markets, including New York and Los Angeles. But, before we watch the married couple chop it up about lifestyle and topical issues, they’re heating up the magazine circuit.
The s*xy couple graces the cover of KONTROL magazine’s Summer Lust issue. And it’s certainly a scorcher. How annoying is it when two genetically perfect people combine?
In the issue, the soon-to-be daytime talk show hosts dish on the pressure to stay together and maintaining a certain image.
They credit their 10 year relationship, in part, to becoming friends first. The twosome first met on the set of the series “Soul Food,” but Nicole was in a relationship at the time. Over time, they built a strop friendship and that’s what created the foundation to their budding romance. Nicole spilled,
“I agree it was definitely a strong like, but over time and working together we cultivated a strong friendship…we were definitely good friends long before we became romantically involved…that friendship really set the foundation for our relationship and marriage…but it didn’t hurt she was beautiful too [he laughs].
It's always the guys waiting on the sidelines...

When asked if they ever feel pressure to stay together they both revealed they do! Nicole said,
“Sometimes he [Boris] and I will be in the middle of an argument and I stop and look at him and I’m like ‘you know we can’t break up right?’ [She laughs aloud]…Like any couple we have our issues, I know his buttons and he knows mine, just like any other two people in a relationship we have to constantly work at not pushing them…”
Boris adds,
“Oh definitely man, the pressure is always there…people are always looking they [Boris and Nicole] are still holding on…it’s nice to be looked up to, but it is still a lot of pressure having to maintain an image…”
See? They;re just like us. With perfect faces and bods. Congrats to them!
“The Boris & Nicole Show” debuts July 6th on FOX. Who’s tuning in?
