On the right you have those whose only policy is deporting immigrants, a guy whose second name is Bush, and a former neurosurgeon who doesn't believe in evolution.
This is a comedy show. So why hold back? The point is to make fun and sterotype a character and hope the party involved finds it funny at the end.
