From the Ramparts Junious Ricardo Stanton Classism, The Roots of Trump and Sanders Popularity "Classism is the systemic assignment of characteristics of worth and ability based on social class. It includes individual attitudes and behaviors; systems of polices and practices set up to benefit the upper classes at the expense of the lower classes, resulting in drastic income and wealth inequality; and the rationale and the culture that perpetuates these systems and unequal valuing. Classism is differential treatment based on social class or perceived social class. Classism s the systemic oppression of subordinated groups (people without endowed or acquired economic power, social influence or privilege) by the dominant groups (those who have access to control of the necessary resources by which other people make their living). Classism is the systemic oppression of subordinated class groups to advantage and strengthen the dominant class groups. Classism is held in place by a system of beliefs and cultural attitudes that ranks people according to economic status, family lineage, job status, level of education and so on. " Economic Apartheid in America by Chuck Collins and Felice Yeskel The New Press Revised and Updated Edition page 143 The ruling class and their minions in the media, government and social control apparatus are extremely distressed and apoplectic about the rise of Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders on the political scene. These two are exposing the endemic graft, corruption and inequality in the American system despite the 1%'s best efforts to mock and marginalize them, discount them and use dirty tricks to get them out of their respective races for their party's nomination. Thus far they have not been able to dissuade the rabble (that's what they call common folks) from joining the growing resistance against the status quo. Now the ruling oligarchs are getting really desperate, they sense a genuine uneasiness and angst amongst the masses and they fear they will not be able to keep us in check much longer. The last thing the blue bloods want is a return to the 1960's and 70's style of wholesale opposition and resistance against the system. They will do anything in their power using their vast resources to derail or co-opt any grass roots opposition to the political duopoly of the Democrat and Republican con game. In the past anyone who dared to openly speak about class warfare was demonized and eventually eliminated. Remember how Obama bum rushed the Occupy Wall Street movement all over the country in 2012? North Carolina Senator John Edwards was run out of the 2008 presidential race because he was talking about income inequality and classism. The ruling class used their corporate media to expose his extramarital affair to turn public opinion against him. They did the same thing to Elliot Spitzer the former New York Governor when he started talking about the Wall Street shenanigans and going after the big wigs. They used the fact he was frequenting a high class brothel to turn public opinion against him and force him to resign. Going back further the ruling class murdered Robert Kennedy and had former Alabama Governor George Wallace shot to get them out of the 1968 presidential race because they were challenging the establishment's agenda. Earlier they murdered Martin Luther King Jr. because he was talking about income and wealth inequality defying the system, calling for an end to the war in Southeast Asia, radical changes at home and income redistribution! The ruling class in America is psychopathic, ruthless, and cold blooded. They think nothing of assassinating people to maintain the status quo and keep their power and control in check Now the Democratic Party shot callers are rigging the primary elections using party rules about "super delegates" who are not bound by the will and vote of the people to steal votes from Bernie Sanders just like the Republicans did to Ron Paul in 2012. The Republican Party a white bread political party known for its exclusion, snobbishness and racism has the audacity to vilify Donald Trump and call him xenophobic and racist. That's like the kettle calling the pot black! The Republicans are desperate to stop Donald Trump who they regard as an outsider even though he is part of the 1% crowd. Trump uses his own money so he is neutralizing their rules, he can't be bribed or bought off, his life is an open book so they can't white-mail him with anything. The ruling class is so desperate, they have enlisted their good ol boy buddy George Soros to manipulate MoveOn.org, Black Lives Matter two of the organizations he directly funds and some other dissidents he pays to disrupt Trump's campaign rallies so the media can blame Trump for the ruckus! For added measure they are now sending threatening letters to his sister who is a Federal appellate judge and his daughter. That is some low life stuff. It's not like the oligarchs don't know the people are pissed off, the approval ratings of the US Congress are at historical lows almost single digits! Last month a poll of potential voters showed only 11% think the Congress has not sold hem out. "Positive reviews of Congress just barely crack double-digits this month, while voters continue to believe that most representatives - including their own - are selling their votes. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 11% of Likely U.S. Voters think Congress is doing a good or excellent job. That’s up slightly from nine percent (9%) in the previous two surveys which was the lowest positive rating since the start of the new Republican-led Congress in January of last year. Sixty percent (60%) say Congress is doing a poor job, showing little change from the previous survey and generally in line with findings over the past year." http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_con... The rabble is waking up to the distain and contempt the super rich and their governmental flunkies hold for us. The Sanders and Trump candidacies are feeding on the angst and anger of the people. Sanders is capitalizing on the idealism of young people, mostly college students who don't trust they system, who find themselves in humongous debt, unable to find good jobs and many are living at home with their parents because they can't afford to venture out on their own. On the other hand Donald Trump is resonating with older voters who feel betrayed by the system, especially whites who see their incomes going down, their standard of living in decline and their sense of national pride fading. Trump uses simple slogans and nationalistic rhetoric to boost hope in a morally rotten socio-economic-political system. The question is will the Republic Party big wigs even allow him to be the nominee? They are back room dealing, sharpening their knives doing everything in their power to demonize him and derail his campaign; but nothing seems to be working! Both Sanders and Trump are pointing fingers at the system, at the status quo and are calling for the very thing the ruling elites fear most, real change. We've heard this before and I suspect we'll experience the same results in 2016. Barack Obama's presidential campaign team won PR/Advertising awards for the way their slogans swayed the masses. "The campaign that drove Barack Obama to victory in the US presidential election has claimed two top awards at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Awards. The campaign, submitted by Obama for America, has been hailed as a masterful combination of new media, door-to-door and community grass roots campaigning with a clever tactical use of traditional TV advertising. The campaign won two grands prix in the Titanium and Integrated Lions categories. To win the Titanium grand prix, a campaign must involve a breakthrough idea that is 'provocative, challenges assumptions and points to a new direction'". http://www.theguardian.com/media/2009/jun/... It was classic mind entrainment and we fell for it hook line and sinker. It's unlikely this election will bring substantive change even if Trump or Sanders were to win any more than electing Barack Obama changed things for Black folks (it hasn't see http://blackagendareport.com/content/expan... Presidential elections won't work because we are in an all out, full fledged class war in this country and the 1% control the whole process. They always have since the founding of this nation. But they keep the delusion that this is a democracy that every vote counts going. The wolves don't want the sheep to know we are the main menu, or at least we are getting constantly sheared by them and their system. In 2016 America it goes beyond color and race, it's us the 99% vs the 1% crowd. The only way a small group of plutocrats can maintain their death grip on the world's resources and people is to keep the rest of us divided distracted, discombobulated and dumbed down. But now many see beyond the veil and they crave real change. There are some who are enthusiastic about Sanders and Trumps' candidacy while others are prepping for a revolution, buying guns and ammunition. Black folks seem to be the only group not strategizing, organizing, making plans or doing anything except foolishly looking to Hillary Clinton the Queen of political opportunism, a virulent warmonger ("We came we saw he died." referring to Muamar Gaddafi) and racist in the vain hope she will help us. Probably won't happen. The Clintons sold white folks out so why would we think she'll help us?! If Sanders or Trump are derailed by the ruling class will there be open hostilities, riots or "revolution"? What will the ruling class do to assuage the masses after Sanders and Trump exposed the corruption in the system? Time will tell. -30-

WOW!!!! What would we do if Sanders or Trump are derailed by the ruling class will there be open hostilities, riots or "revolution"? Now that is something to think about. Great blog Guest Visitor, Great read and classism is the word that will allow poor lower to middle lower classes of the majority to vote against their best interest because of some perceived social inclusion or privilege. Now on to the links but I had to stop here for a moment just to say "TEACH" and Thank You for sharing this information.

Thank you. The sad reality is our "leaders"are not addressing classism or how the whole system is morphing into a fascist police state banana republic right before our eyes. What will it take for our people to wake up and plan for our survival in a social environment such as this?!

Mr. Guest visitor, You speak as though you are part of White America's system and you are not and could never be! Firstly, you should and must recognize that you are racially different from White America. Just as the children of Israel were racially different from Pharaoh and Egypt we Black Americans are racially different from White America. We are in this situation due to no fault of our own. We are descendants of plantation slaves and a NEW race of people when the old White slave masters bred themselves with their slaves constantly for 300 years until Pres. Abraham Lincoln outlawed plantation slavery there was over 40 million slave people that had never existed anywhere in the world before plantation slavery started in this country. Just as God came and rendered a permanent solution by delivering the Children of Israel out of Egypt and into their own country the land of Cannan so it is that the same God will deliver us Black Americans into our own country. Our country will be from the northern borders of North Carolina into the Gulf of Mexico and from the middle of the Mississippi River into the Atlantic Ocean. God has revealed to me that these seven Confederate states are our birthplace. I can reveal more, but I will stop here only to make the point that a big change is on the horizon for us Black Americans. I am Black America's first genuine prophet. The same God that anointed the White Jewish Jesus and the Arab Mohammed anointed me for Black Americans descendants of plantation slaves.

Brother Guest Visitor, When I look back at my remembrance of reading George Orwell's book of "1984" I did not ever think it wasn't meant to be an instruction manual. One word that emerged from the novel was the word "doublespeak," where truth is deliberately obfuscated through clever wording. In some cases, the meaning of a word is reversed entirely. Oceania, the totalitarian regime in Orwell's book, used doublespeak as a matter of course. The Ministry of Truth specialized in propaganda. The Ministry of Love was a secretive torture complex. In my early years of public school, or in public addresses by politicians, America is touted as the Land of the Free, or the Land of Opportunity, or the Greatest Country on Earth. We're taught from near-infancy that this country was founded on the right to say what you want, whenever, wherever, to whomever. We're told we have the freedom to assemble peacefully, to petition our leaders for a redress of grievances. We're taught that if you're apprehended by the law, you have the right to a fair trial and legal representation but I found to be differ as our freedoms are being taken by the oligarch's , money is now considered Speech, and the actions of the police being caught on video, getting away with murder, have changed a lot in the way I view the direction of this countries towards it's people of color.. Good question Brother Guest Visitor what will it take? More people of wisdom willing to talk out in real times and share their wisdom on current events, maybe, just maybe, the flow of wisdom just might change a life or two.

Orwell whose real name was Eric Arthur Blair is said to have had insight into the the New World Order agenda which at one time was pushing communism as a way to overthrow the current Western imperialistic world order. Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty Four were allegories for the NWO, a totalitarian regime to control the world. Remember in Animal Farm "All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others." Doublespeak is all around us now we call it the Matrix an illusionary and delusional "reality" the ruling classes create and use to manipulate and control the masses. To answer your question more people of wisdom, good will who know we are all connected via the DIVINE LIFE FORCE/CONSCIOUSNESS/SPIRIT even to our enemies need to wake up, stand up and encourage each other to live according to our real status as SPIRITUAL BEINGS living in a magnificent human body. We are all children of THE MOST HIGH but we have been duped by our enemies into believing THE CREATOR is a giant white man up in the sky instead of the unseen UNIVERSAL OMNIPRESENT SPIRIT that maintains us and the universe! Until we reject and replace our enemy's notion of reality including who they are and who we are, we will remain mental slaves, emotionally immature and physically impotent non threats to their wicked global agenda.

Just so happen, when you briefly mentioned the imperialistic world order, I put my hands on a book that contains [George H. W. Bush – State Of The Union Address – January 29, 1991] when he said and I quotes: "What is at stake is more than one small country; it is a big idea: a new world order, where diverse nations are drawn together in common cause to achieve the universal aspirations of mankind-peace and security, freedom, and the rule of law. Such is a world worthy of our struggle and worthy of our children’s future." This dream or actions are already coming to pass as we look at this last trade measure called The Trans-Pacific Partnership TPP which I don't have a full understanding of this program but anytime you will let the corporations over rule over a countries solvent law, then what we know of equal protection under the law is not the country I fought for in Vietnam. A DIVINE LIFE FORCE / CONSCIOUSNESS / SPIRIT is a task that we all must become conscious of

Mr. visitor, I hope that you can take constructive criticism. You have brought into the Matrix. You are not saying anything of substance like what is our only permanent solution when you say that we are all connected via divine life force/consciousness/spirit. That is a bunch of nonsense talk. What is real is when I tell you that prophets are racially different especially since you can see it for yourself that prophets are racially different. For example, the Jewish Jesus was Caucasian/White. The Arab Mohammed was Arabian. Already, these are two authentic prophets anointed by the same God but racially different. What this tells you is that Black Americans that is a NEW race of people is also racially different and therefore our prophet must be a Black American justice we are. Our prophet has our permanent solution and that is we must have our own country which we soon will divinely have! I will country will extend from the northern borders of North Carolina into the Gulf of Mexico and from the middle of the Mississippi River into the Atlantic Ocean. I am Black America's first genuine prophet anointed by the same God that anointed Jesus and Mohammed.

Mr. Williams, Black America's government will not be a two-party system as your White American country is. Black America will not have a one party system either. Any male-citizen in our country can run for president must be a Black American born on the soil of our country, have an excellent education and an IQ of at least 150. This candidate can come from any of the four corners of our country and must receive at least 85% of the people's vote. If not, another candidate must step up to the plate. The office of presidency will consist of two five-year terms. We will not have a Congress or Senate. There is more to explain but I will stop now and pick back up some time later on.

Mr. Ron, History is repeating itself you could say. Back in the days of Moses, there was an article making Moses aware of what the oligarch have done and are doing and why. Moses was asked if he had completely read and understood the purpose of the article. Moses responds was trash that nonsense since God has come to deliver us out of Egypt. I am saying the same thing since the same God that delivered the children of Israel has met with me and will deliver us Black Americans out of White America and into our own country consistent seven Confederate states that is our birthplace! Now, Mr. Ron do you understand what I am saying since I am Black America's first genuine prophet? Guest Visitor, Yet, today we live in a country which we are watching this plan is unfolding before our very eyes, where government aids the corporate takeover of elections. Here, banks who fraudulently took Americans' homes for profit can get bailed out by the taxpayers, and use the money to pay themselves 12-figure bonuses. This is a country where even US citizens can be detained without due process, tortured, and even assassinated overseas, where politicians call programs and pass laws called, right to work but it turns out those laws means Right To Work for Less in this race to the bottom and not the top where life is much better.. Thank you for this information and conversation.

We live in a fascist banana republic (where the government is totally subservient to banking/corporate interests) it is an expanding police state with a collapsing economy and ongoing class war, the 1% vs the rest of us. Black people need to organize, strategize and prepare for the expanding NWO with its genetically modified Frankenfoods, what they are calling trans-humanism (cyborgs) and other plans to usurp the natural order. If you are not familiar with this and what they are doing do some research on it, it will send shivers down your spine.

No Ron, I'm sticking with Guest's post. In object oriented programming we use class objects. The top level class is the system, and the system class in this case is America in its entirety. That's classism. I don't deal in amorphous definitions Ron. If you don't agree with me then give me a definition equally precise. Then we can move on to the concept of "rigged".

They feel helpless and in many instances powerless. The see the system is not on their side. Is Donald Trump the subject now? Let's stick with classism. 1.6 Crime and Justice Government exists to protect the rights of every individual including life, liberty and property. Criminal laws should be limited to violation of the rights of others through force or fraud, or deliberate actions that place others involuntarily at significant risk of harm. We favor the repeal of all laws creating "crimes" without victims, such as the use of drugs for medicinal or recreational purposes, since only actions that infringe on the rights of others can properly be termed crimes. Individuals retain the right to voluntarily assume risk of harm to themselves. We support restitution to the victim to the fullest degree possible at the expense of the criminal or the negligent wrongdoer. We oppose reduction of constitutional safeguards of the rights of the criminally accused. The rights of due process, a speedy trial, legal counsel, trial by jury, and the legal presumption of innocence until proven guilty, must not be denied. We assert the common-law right of juries to judge not only the facts but also the justice of the law.

Steven, take your head out of your ass. YES!!! This blog is always been about Thump and Bernie in reference to classism. Classism is prejudice or discrimination on the basis of social class. It includes individual attitudes, behaviors, systems of policies, and practices that are set up to benefit the upper class at the expense of the lower class For example, middle-class and upper-class individuals in the U.S. referring to working class, white Americans as "poor white trash" can be regarded as a form of class prejudice, the insult having the capacity to be historically analogous to racist language against African-Americans. Now why did you post this off topic about Crime and Justice when that was clearly not the subject, WHY?

" YOUR QUESTION: Ron, are you really trying to tell me that crime and justice has nothing to do with class? MY ANSWER: Justice for the crime committed is a tool of the oligarch's and the upper classes in this country and is not equal between the rich and the poor.

All of your comments are interesting. When we consider the fact the 1% ers ( the current generation and their forebears) created and maintain the institutions that make up the "system", organized religion, capitalism, how they do commerce, the courts, government the economy and so forth; I think both of you would agree those institutions were established and set up to keep the 1% in positions of authority and controlling the levers of power. The institutions were created to manipulate the rest of society and do so in a way that benefited the 1%. For example you both mentioned "justice" there is no real justice in AmeriKKKa! If there were the 1% would be prosecuted and go to jail just like the lower classes. Look around at AmeriKKKa the nation that imprisons more people than any nation on Earth, the 1% usually get a free pass, a get out of jail free card, we don't. I know because I was a juvenile court probation officer in Philadelphia for 32 years, rarely did white boys get arrested and sent to juvenile facilities especially the state run or private maximum security places unless: 1 the crimes were so horrific they could not be swept under the rug, 2 they had burned all their bridges in the white community and had no one to help them and 3 their families had no political connections or influence. That's not justice. As the US police/sheriffs etc become more abusive to white folks ( if you don't already know familiarize yourselves with the origin and history of US police), the government becomes more totalitarian and the economy worsens for the 99% they are feeling betrayed and helpless (look at some of the public opinion polls on tis subject), that's why they are turning to Trump and Sanders thinking they will turn things around.

Mr. Stanton, teo things would help tremendously and one is the de-criminalization of drugs. The other would be a public works program that could train and employ the youth. I agree that justice is uneven, I've witnessed it personally myself.

There is big money in "crime" and incarceration especially at the corporate level. The last 12 years of my career I was in an "After Care Unit". I used to make the juveniles I dealt with who were in placement make a list of all the people who were profiting, making money or their living off of them being in placement. Most only named a few: the police, the judges, the lawyers PO's, Sheriffs etc. I would challenge them to think deeper: the court clerks, office personnel, food service personnel, the custodians, maintenance, suppliers and vendors, cooks, the IT and computer people, phone companies,Internet providers, legislators and a whole lot more. They didn't make the connection. I agree with you 100 %; however that is not the plan for AmeriKKKa, the plan is to reduce us to Third World socioeconomic status, with an increasingly crumbling infrastructure (that could employ millions if they committed to fixing and renewing it nationally instead of spending money we don't have on perpetual wars) keep the prisons filled, the masses zonked out on mindless media, Prozac, Ritalin, psychotropic drugs heroine, opiates, alcohol and an obsession with s*x etc. We are living in a society that is run by psychopaths. The moral rot and corruption are taking a heavy toll on this nation as we speak.

Education is a huge issue too, and hand-in-hand with that goes mentoring. Five years ago I applied to Philadelphia Teaching Fellows. As part of our group interview we were to present a 15 minute sample lesson. I chose to give it on Open Source Software, addressed to a ninth grade level. But they wanted me to teach eighth grade remedial math. I would have first needed remedial math myself. They thought that computer scientist was the same as mathematician. Very little math is used in most programming, and now you hear more about K-12 computer science education but it was too much of a leap for them. Then in the individual interview I failed because of my emphasis on mentoring versus discipline.

In the West "education" is indoctrination with a little training thrown in. But in a post industrial society there is very little need for training since most manufacturing jobs have been shipped overseas, and robots and the immigrants are taking over a lot of other manual labor jobs. (Another reason people are rallying around Trump, because he denounces the open borders and the immigrant take over of many jobs from AmeriKKKans.) Western "education" tries to do a one size fits all and does not factor in the various learning styles of people nor their life mission/ destiny (why we were incarnated). This is another reason this culture is so "throwed off" and discombobulated. Because the West has no affinity or connection with indigenous or aboriginal people/cultures and Europe's (and AmeriKKKa's) cultural and economic imperialism is destroying the indigenous people's legacy in the name of "progress", it is out of balance and harmony with itself and nature . This imbalance and greed are causing great harm to the ecosystem and humanity. The 1% are so psychopathic and greedy they don't care about any of that.
