It is FOOLISH to speak of impowering our women while leaving the black MALE to act as a SAVAGE BEAST (735 hits)

We are inundated with lectures of powering the black female. Associations and institutions specifically set up for instilling self esteem, self respect and love of the black female. These attempts are well and good. However, if the black male is left uneducated, untrained, uncultured, unrefined then we will continue to witness a rise in black crime, black murder, black chaos and disruption of black culture. Emphasis must be asserted to instill black pride, black respect and black dignity among the black male who has literally got out of control in the 21st century.

As Salaam Alaikum Bro. Jamal, one oxymoron that is always overlooked or rarely addressed is the expectation/encouragement for black men to be lovers/players and black women to be virtuous. It is an oxymoron that will continue to yield what we see now. You will rarely see men encourage boys not to have s*x, control their urges. They just tell them to not have s*x with "those girls" or "that kind of woman."

Black women have always in some capacity took care of their families since the beginning of time. Slavery tore the Black Family apart. After reconstruction there were documented mass weddings because the Blacks then knew the importance of what marriage meant. For a man, he became a provider and head of his family and his wife became a respectable lady of the home, the domestic goddess. Now the world has changed for us tremendously. Today the average black man abandons his responsibilities like he doesn't have a heart.

Black women don't abandon their responsibilities as easily as men of any race can. That is, the 'burden' of carrying a child and raising that child up to the mother. Slavery, death, prison and mental illness continues to rapture the Black communities ability to stand up and be good parents regardless of life's obstacles. If you have problems with Black women or men, stop making babies and stop blaming each other for the choices you've made in your intimate relationships because some black people have their **** together, point blank. And to be lumped together with the ragamuffins is tiring.
