Give me a break from your go-to question Ron. My comment was in response to the lie Joy told at about minute 0:55 where she says Nunes recused himself from the Russia investigation. The proof of her lying is found in the article I linked to.

Ok! let us take a look at The Hill News article that you sent me to. Now from what I can see, this investigation was about The House Ethics Committee announced Thursday that it is investigating whether Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) made unauthorized disclosures of classified information while overseeing his panel’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election.
As I read a little more, I find this: Nunes pointed to the House Ethics Committee investigation earlier Thursday when explaining his decision to temporarily step aside from the Russia investigation.
This question came to me, maybe you can help me out with. When Nune said that HE MADE HIS DECISION to temporarily step aside from the Russia investigation. The term: "RECUSE HIMSELF" was used by JOY.
Let us look at the word "RECUSE" for a moment.

challenge (a judge, prosecutor, or juror) as unqualified to perform legal duties because of a possible conflict of interest or lack of impartiality:
"a motion to recuse the prosecutor"
(recuse oneself)

"the Justice Department demanded that he recuse himself from the case"
Now, with that definition in mind, when Nunes said he made his decision to temporarily step aside from the Russia investigation.
Not getting involved or having any thing to do with the Russia investigation, Isn't that taking the same action the same thing as "RECUSE HIMSELF" Steve? If so, JOY didn't LIE about the action NUNES decided to take?
The term "RECUSE" is a legal term and the phrase "SIDE-A-SIDE" is more the common use of the word.

Nunes did not recuse himself. Here's his statement.
House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes today issued the following statement:
“Several leftwing activist groups have filed accusations against me with the Office of Congressional Ethics. The charges are entirely false and politically motivated, and are being leveled just as the American people are beginning to learn the truth about the improper unmasking of the identities of U.S. citizens and other abuses of power. Despite the baselessness of the charges, I believe it is in the best interests of the House Intelligence Committee and the Congress for me to have Representative Mike Conaway, with assistance from Representatives Trey Gowdy and Tom Rooney, temporarily take charge of the Committee’s Russia investigation while the House Ethics Committee looks into this matter. I will continue to fulfill all my other responsibilities as Committee Chairman, and I am requesting to speak to the Ethics Committee at the earliest possible opportunity in order to expedite the dismissal of these false claims.”

What do this mean to you: "Representative Mike Conaway, with assistance from Representatives Trey Gowdy and Tom Rooney, temporarily take charge of the Committee’s Russia investigation while the House Ethics Committee looks into this matter."
That means that is The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes has temporarily stepped off the case and gave the power and control to another as he Step aside or "RECUSE HIMSELF from the Russia investigation.
Now you want to change to a new link and both of them states that Chairman Devin Nunes gave up control of the Russia investigation.
Now Steve, did Joy LIE about Nunes?

Joy lied and you are perpetuating the LIE, Ron. Recusal is done because of conflict of interest, and a conflict of interest is not a temporary thing. Nunes put others in charge because of bogus ethics charges, NOT because of conflict of interest. The bogus ethics charges were a temporary condition and as soon as they were proved to be BOGUS, Nunes took charge of the investigation again. All you followers of Joy missed this LIE, it went right over your heads. Not mine.

I am only going by what he was reported NUNES has said at the time in several news outlets. "No formal announcement has been made of when or if Nunes will return to operational control of the Russia investigations. During his absence, Texas Rep. Mike Conaway had overseen the committee's efforts as of 01.08.2017•11:10 AM
How did JOY LIE when NUNES did "RECUSE HIMSELF f or STEP ASIDE from his office for an "unbelievable eight months" while the various intelligence agencies who determined that information Nunes had not divulged classified material when he publicly stated on March 22 that officials in the former Barack Obama administration had sought the names of former employees of Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign in intercepted phone calls.
