This has been the most incomprehensible statement, I have heard during this hurricane recovery period. What seems apparent is that there are many who do not realize that having insurance or not, insurance is a "Gamble." Homeowner's Insurance, it is not an investment, it gives no returns, and it does not roll-over.
The question policy holders should be asking is: Why am I paying for insurance coverage year after year against damages and injuries, when there is no assurance that the insurer will honor their responsibility to claims filed?
Telling policy holders that they are underinsured, when filing for damages after the hurricane is "Terrorization." How can a homeowner / business owner be underinsured, who is deemed not to have 100% coverage to rebuild their property, but they have 80% coverage and their claims maybe for 30% property replacement: the roof, some windows, doors, etc.?
How can this insurance policy practice be "Justified" and "Tolerated?"
