DOJ's Rosenstein shows House Intel Committee the document that sparked FBI's Russia probe By Kevin Breuninger 9 hrs ago Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Wednesday gave the House Intelligence Committee access to "a version" of a two-page document related to the FBI's investigation into links between President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign and Russia. n a statement, committee chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., said he and Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., met with Rosenstein on Wednesday afternoon, after making multiple requests to view the document. They were "finally given access" to the document, Nunes said. A new book is out: "James Comey book: Trump was fixated on proving the 'pee tape' wasn't real." This book was released on Tuesday.

This is likely due to the partisan gridlock that has come from divided party control of the federal government. Trust in the government to handle problems more generally is the lowest Gallup has measured to date, and Americans' favorable ratings of both parties are at or near historical lows. Thus, the rise in U.S. political independence likely flows from the high level of frustration with the government and the political parties that control it.
