Alabama State University Band Raising Funds to March in 2019 Tournament of Roses Parade (2663 hits)

The boosters and supporters of the Alabama State University Mighty Marching Hornet Band (MMH) are asking the public, alumni and supporters to help it raise funds in order to send its student-members to march and perform in the 2019 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, Calif.

The band's boosters are selling brick "pavers" that may be personalized with an engraving on them to honor individuals, organizations, businesses or families. They will be placed in a permanent structure, which will be located at ASU's Tullibody Music Building. The pavers cost $185 each and are 4x8 inches with up to three lines of 14-15 characters each.

The placement of the pavers will take place during ASU's incredible Labor Day Classic Week, and the deadline to purchase them is July 6.

For more information on the pavers or how you may help the MMH Band perform and march at the Tournament of Roses Parade, contact Vergil Chames at 334-833-6272 or vchames@alasu.edu
