Federal judge orders Don McGahn to comply with House subpoena

WASHINGTON — A federal judge ruled Monday that former White House counsel Donald McGahn may be required to testify under oath about what he heard and saw as President Trump sought to head off special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of Russian election meddling, upholding a subpoena from a House committee.
The ruling is a victory for House Democrats who have been anxious to establish a legal precedent that could force other top Trump administration officials to honor subpoenas from Congress.
