When we give testimony in a lawsuit we must speak the truth.
Exod 23:2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil: neither shalt thou speak in a cause, to decline after many, to wrest judgment: KJV 1611
Every male 20 years old and above must give half a shekel to the sanctuary of GOD annually.
Exod 30:12-16 12 When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel, after their number, then shall they give every man a ransom for his soul unto the Lord, when thou numbrest them, that there be no plague amongst them, when thou numbrest them. 13 This they shall give, every one that passeth among them that are numbered: half a shekel after the shekel of the Sanctuary: A shekel is twenty gerahs: an half shekel shall be the offering of the Lord. 14 Every one that passeth among them that are numbered from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto the Lord. 15 The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less then half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the Lord, to make an atonement for your souls. 16 And thou shalt take the atonement money of the children of Israel, and shalt appoint it for the service of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, that it may be a memorial unto the children of Israel before the Lord, to make an atonement for your souls. KJV 1611
Whoever is aware of evidence in a case must speak up and testify.
Lev 5:1 And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it, if he doe not utter it, then he shall bare his iniquity. KJV 1611
The Elders of The sanctuary of GOD chosen by GOD must judge the people impartially according to God’s Laws.
Lev 19:15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment; thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbor. KJV 1611
The priests and Levites must be given cities to live in.
Num 35:2-5 2 Command the children of Israel, that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of their possession, cities to dwell in: and ye shall give also unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round about them. 3 And the cities shall they have to dwell in, and the suburbs of them shall be for their cattle, and for their goods, and for all their beasts. 4 And the suburbs of the cities, which ye shall give unto the Levites, shall reach from the wall of the city, and outward, a thousand cubits round about. 5 And ye shall measure from without the city on the East-side two thousand cubits, and on the South-side two thousand cubits, and on the West-side two thousand cubits, & on the North-side two thousand cubits: and the city shall be in the midst; this shall be to them the suburbs of the cities. KJV 1611
Six cities of refuge in the land of Israel must be established.
Num 35:6-15 6 And among the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites, there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for the man-slayer, that he may flee thither: And to them ye shall add forty and two cities. 7 So all the cities which ye shall give to the Levites, shall be forty and eight cities: them shall ye give with their suburbs. 8 And the cities which ye shall give, shall be of the possession of the children of Israel: from them that have many ye shall give many; but from them that have few, ye shall give few. Every one shall give of his cities unto the Levites, according to his inheritance which he inheriteth. 9 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye bee come over Jordan, into the land of Canaan: 11 Then ye shall appoint you cities, to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may flee thither which killeth any person at unawares. 12 And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger, that the man-slayer die not, until he stand before the Congregation in judgment. 13 And of these cities which ye shall give, six cities shall ye have for refuge. 14 Ye shall give three cities on this side Jordan, and three cities shall ye give in the land of Canaan, which shall be cities of refuge. 15 These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares, may flee thither. KJV 1611
The testimony of witnesses shall be examined thoroughly by the Elders.
Deut 13:14 Then shalt thou inquire and make search, and ask diligently: and behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you: KJV 1611
Elders and office holders must be chosen by GOD.
Deut 16:18 Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates which the Lord thy GOD giueth thee throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment. KJV 1611
Listen to and obey God’s anointed priests The Body of Elders of the sanctuary of GOD under the direction of the Overseer of the sanctuary of GOD
Deut 17:8-13 8 If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place, which the Lord thy GOD shall choose; 9 And thou shalt come unto the Priests the Levites, & unto the judge that shall be in those days, and inquire; and they shall show thee the sentence of Judgment. 10 And thou shalt doe according to the sentence which they of that place (which the Lord shall choose) shall show thee, and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee: 11 According to the sentence of the Law which they shall teach thee, and according to the Judgment which they shall tell thee thou shalt doe: thou shalt not decline from the Sentence which they shall show thee, to the right hand, nor to the left. 12 And the man that will doe presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the Priest (that standeth to minister there before the Lord thy GOD) or unto the judge, even that man shall die, and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel. 13 And all the people shall hear, and fear, and doe no more presumptuously. KJV 1611
The king that GOD chooses must be appointed.
Deut 17:15 Thou shalt in any wise set him King over thee, whom the Lord thy GOD shall choose. One from among thy brethren shalt thou set King over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother. KJV 1611
Listen to and obey God’s Anointed Servant the Overseer of the sanctuary of GOD.
Deut 18:15-19 15 The Lord thy GOD will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me, unto him ye shall hearken, 16 According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy GOD in Horeb, in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my GOD, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. 17 And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. 18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19 And it shall come to passe, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words, which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. KJV 1611
False witnesses shall be judged according to the Law.
Deut 19:19 Then shall ye doe unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you. KJV 1611
When a person is found murdered and the murderer is unknown the prescribed ritual must be performed.
Deut 21:19 Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the Elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place: KJV 1611
Build a guard rail around a roof if it is flat and used as living space and remove potential hazards from the home.
Deut 22:8 When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence. KJV 1611
