Maryland Democratic Representative Jamie Raskin cornered GOP Georgia congressman Andrew Clyde, calling him out on his statement that some Capitol rioters looked like tourists, in a heated exchange.
During a hearing of the rules committee in the House on Tuesday night, Mr Raskin brought up Mr Clyde’s statement from May, in which he said that if you looked at the footage from 6 January, “you would actually think it was a normal tourist visit”.
Mr Raskin initiated the 10-minute clash by asking Mr Clyde if he had watched that morning’s hearing of the 6 January select committee, where four police officers who fought the pro-Trump mob gave testimony about their experiences that day. Mr Raskin is one of the representatives on the committee.
“Let’s stick to the amendment,” Mr Clyde said, pushing back on the line of questioning.
When Mr Raskin kept putting on the pressure concerning whether Mr Clyde had watched the officers’ testimony, the Republican said: “It’s absolutely irrelevant to this amendment right here.”
“He refuses to say whether or not he heard the Capitol officers who risked their lives and have experienced traumatic medical injuries,” Mr Raskin said. “That’s his prerogative.”
Mr Raskin brought up Mr Clyde’s statement earlier that day during the hearing when he noted that Washington Metropolitan Police Department Officer Daniel Hodges repeatedly used the word “terrorists” to refer to the rioters.
Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) got jammed, tongue-tie, trying to change the subject. The GOP Georgia Congressman Andrew Clyde never did answer the question. Steve, that man was trying to use those same game plays that you try to use with me.

Ron, why did Raskin ask the question in the first place? Wait, what the hell was the purpose of this meeting? Why was Clyde being questioned? How many questions did Raskin ask? Was it 5 or more than 5?
It had something to do with defunding the police. Would you like to guess why Jamie Raskin was bullying Andrew Clyde? Maybe Raskin has a pattern of bullying. Maybe that's why his son killed himself.
Are you saying that the event that happened on January 6 looked like to you as Tourists and not terrorists engaging with capital police with Bear spray, flag poles with Trump flags on them and using that to fight The capital police, Breaking windows at the capital to gain entry? Jamie Raskin had no reason to question Andrew Clyde like that, except to make a TV moment. As long as PRICKS like him are acting that way, there will be no good coming from his partisan commission.
Then you don’t have a clue about security procedures in the capitol building because if you did you wouldn’t see nobody walking through the capital that went to a security check with flag poles, backpacks and walking outside of The roped path pathway. That in itself will let you know something was wrong if you knew what she was talking about.
Plus those were the first few minutes of the siege what came after was chaos in that hall.

Even the Justice Department has no interest in the crooked and corrupt 2020 Presidential Election. They are only interested in hurting those who want to reveal how totally dishonest it was. The Justice Department should be looking at the people who rigged the election, not the Patriots of our Country who are seeking to find how our Nation was defrauded.
