How NASA’s Artemis 1 Launch Will Prepare Astronauts To Return To The Moon

Retired NASA astronaut Leland Melvin joins MSNBC’s Alex Witt to discuss NASA’s Artemis launch. The Artemis 1 space mission hopes to send astronauts on a trip around the moon in 2024. Melvin shares the missions main objectives and what the crew is doing to prepare in case something goes wrong.

To the Moon and beyond: NASA's Artemis program By now much of the world knows about the launch of NASA's big new rocket on Monday, but the maiden launch of the long-awaited Space Launch System (SLS) and the Artemis program is interesting -- and controversial -- for a number of reasons.
