Fetterman Will Join Biden and Harris at Fundraiser After Rocky Debate

(Bloomberg) -- President Joe Biden will be joined by John Fetterman at a Friday fundraiser in Philadelphia, lending a fresh vote of confidence to the candidate after an uneven debate performance raised doubts about Democrats’ ability to retain control of the Senate.
The president and Vice President Kamala Harris will speak at the Pennsylvania Democratic Party’s annual Independence Dinner, which is expected to rake in $1 million, according to a Democratic official. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, Senator Bob Casey and Democratic National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison will also attend.
Fetterman, who suffered a stroke in May, used a closed-captioning device and sometimes spoke haltingly, slurring or transposing words, during an hour-long debate Tuesday against Republican challenger Mehmet Oz, better-known as celebrity physician Dr. Oz.
