
The EMC Sales Associate Training Program is a unique, year-long opportunity for the next generation of sales leaders at EMC. Over the past two years, the program has graduated over 150 sales associates into inside sales and account executive positions. This is your chance to enter the exciting field of sales with the world leader in information storage and management.
Through intense EMC product training, combined with sales mentoring from experienced EMC professionals and live lead-generation responsibilities, you can expect personal and professional development to help launch your sales career.
Responsibilities include:
- Understanding EMC's wide-ranging product offerings and the competitive issues associated with networked storage.
- Participating in training exercises to increase overall awareness of EMC's products and information lifecycle management solutions.
- Participating in oral presentations and written tests that measure sales compentency and messaging ability.
- Creating and executing against a personal action plan specific to growth and development in the program.
- Working in a virtual team environment with the EMC field sales force.
- Prospecting and profiling potential accounts via the telephone.
- Making a minimum of 80 outbound calls per day to enhance lead-generation skills.
- Meeting a quota for daily, weekly, and monthly appointment goals.
- Tracking district impact with respect to Pipeline, Upside, Commit, and Closed Business.
- Participating in "Partner Blitzes" to help drive incremental revenue.
Qualifications includs:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Prior sales experience preferred, but not required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be comfortable speaking with high-level decision makers
- Must be mature and confident with strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Must be assertive, creative, and a team player
