I became an Advocate when I realized that living in my hometown, since the70's they had a Crime Victims Office, why wasn't made known in the 80's when I called the cops just about every other day to get help away from my abuser? It was such a secret
And then you have to go through so much red tape to get the help
Then Victims are treated as the perp when they are looking for help.
