Racism and African Americans! (659 hits)

“African Americans in the U.S. “

“Freedom is and has always been America’s root concern, a concern that found dramatic expression in the abolitionist movement. The most important and revolutionary reform in our country’s past, it forced the American people to come to grips with an anomaly that would not down—the existence of slavery in the land of the free.” (Benjamin Quarles, The Black Abolitionists, 1969).
After God’s great flood on earth, The “World Race” had begun, i.e., Noah’s children became the offspring of the generations that have lived and died before us, as illustrated in many qualitative observations. Genesis ch.9 vs.24, 25, 26, 27 tells of the apparent curse bestowed on Canaan, son of Ham, which is one of three sons of Noah. Referring to the text, Ham is said to be the father of Canaan which was cursed by God, thus you have also Egypt, Philistines, the Hittites, and the Amorites. Anyhow, Ham’s descendents were labeled slaves of slaves, to the children of Shem and Japheth. Therefore, is it not clearly erudite that from the continent of Africa, Egypt began its truculent slave mentality throughout the Regions of Africa? Was not Africa the Continent that furnished many Countries with human labor? (“Against Slavery An Abolitionist Reader”)(“Holy Bible”). These facts can be salvaged simply by acquiring the text, however, the debate rests is in the pseudoscience of polygenesis that has supported slavery with the weak argument of the “race theory”, which, considered by White American Supremacist, who could not intellectualize the true paradigm of race! Dark skin living amongst Light skin, seem to be a partially understood concept of the time. Nonetheless, to simply validate one race as property while the other race claims superiority is up surd, immoral, and ill logical. The irony of this Nation, being one of people governed by a law that declares all men equal, but facilities inequality through slavery and segregation. Thus we have produced a discrepancy that is still present in America Today. Inequality due to racial distinction has wavered stygian in the United States from an economic, employment, housing, marital status, and mortality point of view in Black America from the 17th until the 21st century.
If, “we the people,” were running a racial Olympic long distant race, between White-non Hispanics, Black African Americans, and Latinos, in North America, how would it play out? Well, here we are at the 2008 mark, halfway to the 2009 mark with Whites in the lead. Passing Black Americans are Latinos with a voracious outburst to get ahead and just beginning to gain momentum. For Whites, it has been a canonical trend to maintain the lead, and too assuage any fear from competition they provide Latinos with a ten-foot hurdle. Well, not too far behind the Whites with their chicanery techniques, and Latinos determination, are African or Black Americans. African Americans seem to have been trying to maintain since 1865. Slavery howsoever, has existed since the beginning of this Nation, and well before the 17th century. In the U. S. it has only burgeoned sordid. Therefore the institute of slavery in the South has set Blacks too abscond aberrant to economic power and family structure in North America. These elements are important in order to prolong future generations that which will continue the race in securing the American Dream.
Reluctantly, Blacks are abroad a new era of change. If the family structure is to progress, the unified dyad must inhabit change to this bitter pattern by setting examples to the youth. Once family structure is empowered, family units can come together with other family units as corporations to ignite liberty and justice for all. For now, there seems to be a lack of awareness or avoidance among Blacks and Whites, especially in the South. However, made known are the folly of slave masters, plantation owners, and participants by the effects of the ghettoes in urban cities which are filled with miss educated youth. As Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream many of us continually have nightmares. It is time for us to all dream again. We are now in the time and age to make awareness known to the Black society effectively and more efficiently. We are all unique humans of color which only indicates our ancestors’ geographical origin. Thus, racism is a sure sign of ignorance because you cannot comprehend to look inside a person, but rather you feel it’s just easier to judge by skin color!

Harold, I will say sorry but as one who majored in african and African-American history, I must respectfully dis agree with much of what you just stated in your post. I must go in a minute so for right now I will try to explain why I disagree with your slavery conclusions.

When you say "slavery" you bring in other countrysas an example of "slavery". I will repeat that only the United states have done what no other country on this planet has ever done. They had 1. Chatel slavery and 2. they use atomic bombs on another country.

The salvery in South Africa is called Apparthy(may be misspelled) The Luthern Bible was used their own religious beliefs in God's words not the St. James Bible using Ham and what he did to in slave those in South Africa. first must come facts so that we can address what we want to go pro or con about.
