I don't have my picture up for a reason. I don't want to be judged for how I look. What shade, what kind of hair, what size. What does it matter really? We're all dust according to the Bible. And, if we are so intent on checking each other out physically and materially, how will we really get to know each other?
We're checking out clohtes, shoes, purses, etc. But what does that really say about a person? Besides how they spend their money? And why should that be so important?
We need to reach beyond the material aspects of trying to know others... and really try to talk with them! Stop and think, you know that you could peg a person, where they're from, about how much money they make, and the like, just by what a person wears! And sometimes we want people to know all these things, which is why we buy stoff and show it off1 But sometimes, it's a hindrance... "I dont' want to get to know those 'bougie' lookin' folk!"
"Did you see those dreads?" "That weave is lookin' tired, girl!"
Are we a people because we look good or because we share experiences?
selah ( It means pause and calmly think of that! it's a Hebrew word)
