I strongly believe the State of Black America is in need of major improvement, which should start with the initiatives of those in the black community.

I am trying by working with a group of young people. Helping them to understand who they are and where they came from. I would love to be a part of a larger group that is on the move attempting to make strides for change...change for the better.

Better implies taking something already in place and improving it. I think we need to destroy what we have and build a stronger foundation and add floors based on hard work.

Yes I do, however the thought pattern of our communities are vast, do we know what we as a people want and do we know a direction to go in? Black on Black crime, white on black crimes, others on Black crimes and lastly we on we crimes (crab mentality) in order to make our communities stronger is through our spirituality and investment in ourselves. I is going to take work, I am ready….

Yes, and the first place to start is with education. If we could just focus more on getting more education beyond high school we could really make a difference.

I also agree with Sam too, UNITY seems to have gotten lost in the struggle for equality. There is so much strife within the community... the family, we don't seem to know how to love each other the way should, and its sad. Now people when you don't want to go near your family even on the holidays because you know something negative will happen to kill the holiday spirit, thats when you know its time to pray. I try to explain this within my own family to no avail, so I decided to leave them alone and take it to a higher power, I pray for us.
