IMHO the greatest part of brother Shabazz's life and message is the post Hajj period. As the older wiser statesman, his messages still ring true today. I would beg anyone who loved Malcolm to truly study the last years of his life. We should all seek truth...even if that truth leads us to answers counter to our preset belief.

Do we have anyone (leaders) speaking like that today. Brother Shabazz controlled that interview and was unwavered. He didn't allow the interviewer to get him off message. The interviewer push hard and Brother Shabazz pushed harder. The brother was brilliant, in every sense of the word. One of the best minds of the 20th century. I believe brother Shabazz and MLK JR were going to get together before Hoover put his diabolical plan together to stop that union from happening (my feelings). Jeffery thanks for the clip.

Brothers, Thank you for your responses to this clip. I too admire Malcolm X, not just for what he said in this clip, but for his willingness to stand up so his voice could be heard. Many of us Blacks today are so concerned about pleasing white Americans that we are even willing to shun the community that nurtured us. There are individuals within our community who don't want to be like "them" (meaning other Blacks) because black success is viewed as inferior to white success. Of course that's nonsense. My success is just as good as anybody elses because I earned it through my blood, sweat and tears. Be blessed, my people, and continue to be blessings.

Al Hajj AbdulMalik AsShabazz said some words when he identified himself as Malcolm X. But as Al Hajj AbdulMalik AsShabazz he said. Slavery did not destroy history. Slavery is a part of history. The descendants of these slaves in America have destroyed their story, and they now claim that their story started in 1865.
