Good Evening, Everyone:
Do we perceive GOD's Feminine Aspects?
As I was sorting through some papers, yesterday, I found a Beliefnet.com interview with Joan Borysenkso in which she outlined her method of angelic meditation. I've read this article numerous times but what caught my attention this time was a reference to "Shekinah", the feminine principle of GOD. I researched this term a little more in depth and discovered references to Shekinah in Judaism, Islam and Christianity.
These references included "Holy Spirit", "Great Comforter", "Nurturer", "Presence of GOD", "Spirit of Creativity" and "Birds Nesting" just to name a few. Essentially, I understand Shekinah as an invitation to embrace GOD's nurturing and creative intelligence within a "sacred space". Most people set aside time to attend a worship service on a specific day such as the Sabbath. This is fine but there's more to Shekinah than spending time in church. Shekinah is really more of a intimate date with a loved one. Within this intimacy, you're tuning out worldly concerns and inviting GOD to inspire your thoughts and perceptions. Shekinah is the "Presence of GOD" which is omnipresent and knows no boundaries.
Shekinah's presence can be experienced within the privacy of your home or on a crowded subway. It's up to the individual. When you're focusing your energies in a manner that soothes your spirit and directs your thoughts towards more positive vibrations, Shekinah, just may decide to drop in and pay you a visit. You may be guided to call someone you haven't had a conversation with in a long time or attend a function in which you don't know a soul. GOD works in "mysterious ways" and you have to be a receptive vessel for understanding. There are times when it's an absolute waste of time "to analyze" a situation because you may just miss the point.
According to Ms. Borysenkso, when you invite Shekinah, the feminine principle of GOD, you're welcoming angelic assistance. Whether one choses to believe in angels or not is an individual choice, but I do believe in GOD. If GOD choses to use me to communicate or receive a message, so be it! GOD has a game plan that I'm not privy to and it's not necessary for me to understand everything all of the time. Logic is wonderful, but it's not everything! Intuitive perception can be a useful tool when navigating in the waters of the unknown. I suspect that lucky guesses or "hunches" are related to the influence of Shekinah. After all, the"Spirit of Creativity or Inspiration" is one of her definitions. The Holy Spirit is considered to be Mother Nature to some and we are all products of GOD's creation linked to him through the Holy Spirit. Our individual actions initiate a series of events that affects creation as a whole which has to be balanced and managed by a much greater intelligence than mankind's. SHEKINAH, I HONOR YOU!
May Peace Be With All Of You,
