I can relate to what they are doing in Chicago by protesting or boycotting school in order that African Americans can begin to get a better education. I wish that when I was growing up in Houston,TX that someone would have taken that kind of stand for us. From elementary to high school, I believe that I went to school with less that one dozen white people for the whole 12 years.
Do you think that we need to do something about education in minority school districts to give our kids a better chance at living a successful life or do you think that it lies solely within the individual? Do you think that the churches in the African American community should be more involved in the affairs of our communities that they are currently?
