What is Your Vision for the World? (300 hits)

My role in the world is to facilitate enlightenment. I do it through coaching, writing, and teaching. I see a future where every individual is living a purposeful and prosperous life, fully expressing their God given talents and skills. I see people working, not simply for money, but doing what they love to do and being valued for it. I see us cleaning-up the planet, healing the sick, adding beauty, making people happy, while we thrive, grow, and prosper.

Now I know this sound like utopia, but so what! Why should we not strife for a world where everyone excels? We are in a paradigm shift and moving into the Inspiration Age, in my opinion. I think the upheaval that we are experiencing on every level of living is an indicator of our need to change and grow.

We as black people have the most to gain. The systems that have kept us on the edges of society are breaking down and we must lean to our creativity to bring forth something new. We have a history of making something out of nothing—we’ve had to. The world needs innovation on many fronts, the environment, alternative energy, healthcare, and the judicial system, to name a few. And don't get me started on the economy. The "correction" that we are experiencing in the economy is no small event. The ramifications are staggering. Now don't miss the fact that we have to have a "correction' because it was all "wrong!" The thinking that got us into to the mess that we are in is not the thinking that will get us out of it, and that opens this up to everyone. Whoever can solve problems can make money. That has always been the case. We as a people can decide to be the problems-solvers; we don’t need permission. Just do it!

“Seize this very minute! Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Only engage, and then the mind grows heated. Begin, and then the work will be completed.” Jean Anouilh

This is our time, this is our moment, we cannot wait to be rescued; we must become the rescuer! We come from greatness and we can again be great! Be inspired by what is happening and be engaged in it. What is the legacy that you want to leave?

"I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is now controlled by it's system of credit.

We are no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a govenment by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men."

Woodrow Wilson
1919

My vision for the world is a vision of Peace, Unity, and Joy!

It's ashamed how over the past few hundred years a few people of this once Great Nation has enslaved the minds, and dreams of the masses.

Will my vision ever become a reality.....who knows?

"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather and irate tireless minority keen to set brush fires in peoples minds" ...Samuel Adams

That's a geat quote. Seems that the more things change, the more they stay the same. But I guess that is what the "correction" is about. If we don't bite the bullet and make the real changes that need to be make instead of sticking a finger in the dike, history will repeat itself again. History has also proven that when you don't make necessary change the problem just gets bigger. The question is how bi can we stand it?

Chnage has to be true change math is math, if the numbers aren't right, the answer won't be right. Creative accounting and creative financing does not change facts. We have been in a cycle of "making the numbers work," numbers work when the numbers are right. If you cant afford it, you can't afford it. This applies to people, companies, and countries.

Wisdom is speaking so clearly today! Real changes are already being made because minds are being transformed! God bless those who give a loud voice to Wisdom.

My grandmother, God rest her soul, taught me something many years ago...it was a small thing, but it mattered.
She used to keep a pair of shoes on her front poarch for gardening. They were dirty, so she never put them in the house.
One day, she went outside to work in the garden, but couldn't find the shoes anywhere! She searched to no avail, but in her searching, found other things missing.
What she did next is what I so love about her spirit. She went to the local newspaper and placed an ad. I don't recall her exact words, nor do I have a copy to quote it exactly, so I will paraphrase here.
"To the nice person who came to (address), sometime durring the week of (dates). May you be blessed with the materials you took from me, I can get another set. I only wish you had asked me for them, so I could have given them to you, perhaps other things of need as well. You are welcome to come to my place again, I hold no ill will toward you. No need to return them, if you feel convicted to do so. Be blessed and bless others as you have been blessed. Feel free to call upon me if ever you need anything." Then she left her contact info.

She never met the person, never heard from him again. The ad in the paper ran for a month, and it is unknown if the person ever knew she did it.

Grandma was the only one in her nursing class that insisted on working in a black hospital, much to the chagrin of her classmates. Grandma, on her deathbed, cheered up all who came to cheer her up. Grandma knew who she was and, moreover, what she stood for. She didn't care what color you were, or how little or much money you had/made, what titles or degrees you earned. She loved everyone unconditionally, simply because that was what she was called to do.
She took food to the firehouses, hospitals, ambulance workers, grocers, retirement homes, everywhere. She simply told them she was "thinking of them today". She tatted booties for newborn babys, cross bookmarks for the terminally ill. She would sit with strangers and just listen. She was a woman of few words, but her actions spoke volumes!

She has gone home now, but she will ever remain in my heart and mind while I yet live on this planet. She taught me God's Word, not by simply READING it to me, but by LIVING it outloud, everyday.

As a man thinks, so is he. Tis true, we are transformed by the renewing of our minds.
Thank you for reminding us of the important little things we have forgotten.
UTOPIA SOUNDS GREAT! PEACEFUL, CALM, HAPPY, JOYFULL, PLEASANT, and RIGHT. I am with you!
