How often do you have to miss a business opportunity? (765 hits)

I'm just asking. We're headed into the last quarter of the year. Current economics aside, this was probably the best year for black businesses to get from behind the eight ball. With the explosion of social networks, black enterprise should have exploded right along with it. Did businesses collaborate to take their products to the next level? Did you find that "angel investor"? Did the millions of authors on our social networks get together and maybe collaborate on a website or catalog of their books? Did any of the bloggers get together to syndicate each other or build a stronger infrasture?

Those of you with holiday products, did you search out podcasts or blogs to advertise your products this holiday season? Did anybody spend any advertising (no PR) dollars in 2008? I'm still hearing major PSA rotation on Black Radio.

This September there were major "mainstream" and "urban" expo's. Some gained a lot of ground by participating. If "mainstream" is your audience, what's your game plan? How often did you have to miss a business opportunity in 2008? Will you turn it around in 2009?
