We spend our days waiting:
in traffic
in lines
just waiting.
Waiting for someone to notice:
how we look
how we feel
how we did
We spend our life waiting:
for that special someone
for love.
We don't wait patiently. If we can, we won't even wait our turn, but at every opportunity we'll try and push our way through. We all want to be first.
But the Bible speaks about waiting. Waiting on the Lord, even when the situation seems hopeless. Waiting on the Lord in the urgency of the now.
Waiting is not a human strength. We tend to struggle with waiting. We get grouchy and grumpy when we have to wait. Time seems to slow to a stand still, and we start to question God's wisdom and timing in having us wait.
But the Word of God says:
"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." (Hab 2:3 - KJV)
When we can't see it and the circumstances doesn't show it - continue to wait for what God has planned for you. And don't be discouraged, the fulfillment will come in God's appointed time.
