Addie Polk, 90, of Akron, Ohio, became a symbol of the nation's home mortgage crisis when she was hospitalized after shooting herself at least twice in the upper body Wednesday afternoon. Come on, People! a 90 year who feels her only choice is to kill herself? Had she no relatives that she could have moved in with? Not only is the economic situation of this country sad and pathetic, but this article speaks volumes on how we feel we need to be so independant not only from others, but from our own family and friends as well.
