The link isn't working Dr. Jones, but this sounds awesome. I would love to listen in. My son is 3 years old right now, but I am preparing him for his future now.

For those of you with children and looking to send them to college, you missed a really informative session with Dr. Jones. Some things we discussed were:

Preparing children for college by keeping the lines of communication open--
College Freedom-- Students have a new sense of liberty being away from home
Separation anxiety-- How leaving home can make both the child and parents anxious
Identity crisis--- Kids are trying to figure out what they want to be and what they want to study as opposed to what their parents want them to become and to study since many parents pay for college.
Importance of good open communication between lower classmen and upper classmen in an attempt to provide guidance to struggling students.
Setting goals for achievement---
Time management---
Distractions experienced in college that can keep students from being successful---text messaging, computer blog/chats, socializing...

There were others but most importantly we agreed that foundation was an essential thing that children needed. To learn more you can check out these following resources
