We learn from the past, do we not? We learn as a young child if we want to save ourselves from punishment that we "take everyone down with us." We got caught eating cake, well, our siblings are going down too! It might not be for the same crime, but our goal is to take attention away from us.
We learn to swim, most of us. As we get older, our swimming skills improve. We know how to survive in a sea full of ideas. We stand and move away, not wallow, from a muddy puddle of filth and slime. Just like water, words can either be inviting, or disgusting.
A man (or woman) doesn't pick his middle name when he is born. There are quite a few names of people in the Bible and the Holy Qur'an who did questionable things, yet I don't see those who bare the same name all over the news. Is there such thing as a free roaming terrorist that everyone knows, in America? Dammit, if I was a convicted (was he???) murderer, would I be teaching at a higher learning institution? The notion is crazy as hell! McCain's campaign has truly disgusted me. I can't even watch another sound bite from either him or his fellow puppet, I mean running mate. Read more of my opionions at
