Giving Thanks (903 hits)

I have so much to be grateful for - to be thankful for.

My husband of 33 years, my daughter and my son and my daughter by marriage.

My grand kids.

I thank God for all his blessings, grace and mercy.

From the moment I was conceived to now. I can look back and see His hand on me, leading me and guiding.

Even when my faith has fallen short, God has shown me that even when my faith is as small as a mustard seed, He can still accomplish great and mighty things in my life.

I am thankful.

So many times the enemy has come into my life like a flood - knocking me off my feet.

Knocking me to my knees.

I am thankful.

God continued to show me that greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.

I am thankful.

For God's covering, for he truly has given me a life more abundant than I could ever have imagined for myself.

Not in silver or gold, but I'm rich just the same.

I am thankful.

I'm so glad that God overlooks my faults, and has seen to my needs.

I am thankful.

He heard this woman's cries.

He turned my deepest despair into indescribable joy.

He kept us, my family and I.

I am thankful.

Hi Nessa! This truly remarkable, so often we forget to be thankful for what we already have. We need reminding sometimes! Thanks for the nudge...I am also thankful as well.

All too often I find myself thanking Him for NOT ANSWERING prayers! It has been my experience to be careful what you pray for, because you just might get it! GB

To clarify, I once prayed for silence. To bask in the sound of the birds chirping without the sounds of planes flying overhead, cars zooming to and fro, horns honking, people complaining...
Little did I know my prayer would be answered the way it was....
September 11th.
Again, beware of what you pray for, you just might get it. Be thankful for unanswered prayers. When you pray foolishly, it could come back to bite you.
I praise God for His forgiveness, and I ask that I be forgiven for my foolishness by those who were victims of 9-11. I knew not what I was doing.
Thank God, I was able to learn from it, and turn from my own wicked ways.
Thanx for this post.
